Spending money on players.

One of these Italian nationals who is half Argentine (like Mauro Camoranesi) fairly decent player i think he was Roma's top scorer last season....for a club like Southampton it is a monumentally good signing.
credit to Southampton.....three years ago their side was in league one, back to back promotions and exciting signings....i know fortune is ephemeral with many clubs in football (look at their rivals Portsmouth now) but what a fantastic time it must be for Saints fans
That's the thing, you need to invest to move on and better yourself.
The people in charge of the investing have to be careful that they don't sign dogshit players and end up plagued with over priced wages (ala Wenger). The signings they've done are pretty strong, and I wouldn't mind having Wanyama, and he was available for £10m , £10m more than what Wenger thought he was worth.
If the signings pay off, the team will make strides up the table, more sponsors will line up, more tickets sold, TV revenue etc.
Why can't we spend a fucking penny
Yeah, get Klopp. Of course we'd have to drug him and kidnap him, but Diaby and Bendtner can do that seeing as they have fuck all else to do.

Something isn't right.
If we now have the ability to go and get genuine talent, it doesn't make sense that we'd just choose not to.
