View Full Version : Next Six Games

(seem to remember there being a similar thread - but can't find it, please feel free to merge!)

Next 6 games (21 December-22 January), has us playing;

1) Villa (a)
2) Wolves (h)
3) QPR (h)
4) Fulham (a)
5) Swansea (a)
6) Man U (h)

Traditionally the turn of the year often brings us a whole lot of pain but I see a different mentality about the team so do not worry about that side of things but we are looking a bit thin squad wise (as per....) and stand to lose a couple, for me (appreciated not all) Gerv will be missed as I love the way he goes straight down the throat of defenders, Chanmakh can go now TBF!

Wenger needs to get busy during the January transfer window in all honesty, whether he does or not remains to be seen, but action will not cease on the pitch so everyone how much can we get from the next few games.

I start every match thinking we will win (that hasn't changed) we have taken 22 points out of the last 27 so I don't see why the first 5 games cannot produce max points, something tells me Swansea could be one to tread carefully with! Man U will; be a cracker and the lads will be up for this more than ever before because of the way we got out arses handed to us earlier this season so we will win this too!

Good chance to build another winning run. Swansea away will probably be tougher than we expect, but you have to feel as though we're favourites for all those games apart from United obviously.

Going to the Wolves game so thats the Must Win + play well game. The others, we could play shite as long as we win

To me Fulham away always seems like a tricky fixture.

Just checked and it's not just my imagination. Last 5 seasons were LWLWD.

Not sure why we we struggle away so much, at home we are WWDWW.
Must be something to do with the small ground.

pretty easy 6 games. and a home win to end it, excellent.

edit- Fulham away will be the hardest but if we have no new injuries we'l win.

Bloke on Sunday Supplement summed it up nicely. We are a tightrope act. If we don't take a catastrophic plunge we'll do well and there's nothing in between. It's not catching the spuds that worries me, I think we'll do that. It's not choking once we have caught them.

Japan Shaking All Over

I think Spurs are firmly in our sights but it is kind of sad that this is all we have to play for. . .however lets catch them first and see what happens, to be honest I think its still going to take a few games. . .we have so much to address once the season closes and our fragile mentality (which I had thought stronger earlier in the season) is one of them
