Well that's just fucking dandy. I'm off on a plane to Estonia on 27th, so if they move it, I can't go.

Its a bit annoying but then I only paid for I think 30% of the season ticket so I get one big game a season. Last year it was Spuds and the first 45 mins were great. This year its Chelsea. Anyway Arsenal said they'd make an announcement today on this game. Any word yet? Goal has nothin yet and I don't trust Arsenal.com
Boxing day is usually always dominated by a load of other stuff. From my perspective, 27th would be better. Hope they factor that in.

I hope we score more goals than them.
Rosicky and Benayoun deserve to start ahead of Ramsey and Gervinho.
I actually think they will too. Wenger usually makes lots of changes at this time of the season - though usually forced through injury.
Master Splinter
21-12-2011, 10:16 PM
There's no better time to start OAC against a couple of sub-pub-teams at home and when players need a rest.
We mustn't compromise the defensive work ethic. Breaching that constraint is the first step back to mediocrity.
With Oxlade, we must observe the waiting period.
With Arshavin, we must observe the weight in burial.

Gutted.
Was supposed to be going to this.
Now I'm not :(
Of course, Arsenal are going to help me out and do all they can to make sure that I get full value for the money I paid, by either refunding me, or switching the tickets to another match.
Erm....yeah right.

Gervinho, RVP and Theo are in need of a rest but worryingly I can't see us doing too well with them on the bench.
We could rest them one at a time. Have Gervinho/Walcott rested with OAC in his place and the next one we could have Park play up front instead of RVP till at least half time unless we are losing or in a draw.
get them all out on the pitch for the next game, rest some against qpr and back on for the match at fulham, as most of em can get a rest in the home match to leeds.

No bad feeling over!
just seen that th TV schedule has been updated and the game is live
We need to bury Wolves, we have a run of games up to the Utd game that realistically we could very easily take max points from. . .such form can see us cement a position at the top of the table above the scum and closer to the Msncs if more teams dig their heels in like WBA last nigjt. . .also there is no reason why we cant beat the nothern scum too when they come to town

Nah, if we're going to slip up soon it will be against QPR or Fulham. The games are only seperated by 24 hours which means we're certain to rotate for at least one of them. Our 2nd string pub team can never seem to find any cohesion when called upon.

not much movement from him today or sharpness, hopefully he manages 1 more clinical moment

we need another outlet of pace, between gervinho and walcott, RVP didnt need to do much work apart from finishing
gervinho alone is not enough to unsettle wolves, time for oxo or a different formation perhaps

Wenger is a stubborn bastard, always Arshavin and Chamakh no matter how badly they play. Chamakh manages to dig through the bottom of the barrel today, contributes even less than zero by laying out RvP. Awful shit player but he keeps getting the call.

Chance for the top four blown. An early goal and and men sent off but we still manage to drop points. At home as well. Rubbish.
Dennis Bendtner
27-12-2011, 04:59 PM
RVP looked pretty much dead in the second half. Can't imagine the Chamakh headbutt helped. But this is what we feared, second to him getting injured. Gervinho was dire, so basically we had very little in the way of a front-line.

RVP wasted a glorious 1 on 1 with some shit turn! FFS you cunts!
I had a feeling we'd drop points in this. We could've taken them in the second half but the subs were as typical and as ridiculous as usual.

Chance for the top four blown. An early goal and and men sent off but we still manage to drop points. At home as well. Rubbish.
Its lucky pool and chavs messed up to as they are our rivals. Wenger needs to spend in Jan If this team is to have any hope of getting 4th.

Syn predicted this as well.
RVP didn't make the right decisions today. Could've played in Song to make it 2-0 but went on his own, going after the record. The goal conceded was a freak deflection and a great improvised header. Could've done nothing about it. These things happen.
We created enough, but just couldn't convert. Their keeper was epic. I don't understand why Chamakh makes the bench ahead of park, surely if you want another striker in there you get one who can ghost in past the last defender or get on the end of a rebound. Park has shown signs of that in his 4 appearances since arriving. Tbf, RVP getting injured would've been his own fault, but surely strikers know where the other is gonna make a run to?
I'm guessing RVP will be on the bench vs. QPR, which is likely to see more dropped points, because Chamakh will start.
