I have failed to make this board enable settings so i can ACTUALLY see my signature as it appeared on the old forum???

What do you mean? Your sig is showing (saying "The Dismantler")?

How do i turn sigs off?

Avatars as well for that matter. I cant seem to find the option in the settings.

Its either not there or ive been out of the forum lark for too long and forgot.

Forum Actions > General Settings

Then there is a sub heading saying something like 'Thread display settings' its under that.
