Here
There was trouble in the tunnel at half-time too, according to Sky Sports. Patrice Evra tried to speak to Luis Suarez but Martin Skrtel got involved and the incident escalated. There was a scrum involving several players, stewards and the police and it took both teams about five minutes to get into the dressing rooms.

Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool football club. He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again, the history of that club. He could have caused a riot. Racism is an important issue and football has come a long way since the days of bananas being thrown at John Barnes. Evra shouldn't have jumped in front of Suarez in celebration at the end. Stoke manager Tony Pulis, who was furious with referee Chris Foy over Pavel Pogrebnyak's second half tackle on Wilson Palacios: "I've had a player who pulled out of a tackle last week and got a three match ban, Pogrebnyak's tackle was ten times as bad and he didn't even get booked. If Chris Foy didn't see it then Kevin Friend certainly did. I'm disappointed with the inconsistency in the Premier League - we need some clarification on tackles."

I saw Thierry Henry's goal on his Gunners comeback in their win over Leeds in the FA Cup on Monday. I think we are going to see Henry come on with 20 minutes or so to go quite a lot in the next few weeks but I'm not sure that we will see him find the net too many more times.
In fact I'd be interested to see what the odds are for him not scoring again. I'm willing to make a sportsman's bet that he won't find the net again in any competitive game until he goes back to New York.
He came on against Leeds, a Championship team, late in the game when they were tired. He still has great touch and great vision but I am not sure that will be enough in the Premier League.

Something as trivial as the handshake doesn't really deserve much analysis (but but it's ENGLAND you HAVE to), but seems to me that Evra might have only offered his hand after Suarez had got past him.
Actually, you have a point there. He pulls his arm back. The play acting towards the camera and the smirk with the ref seems to suggest he knew exactly what he was doing. I trust Ferdinand's refusal to shake hands, Evra's attempted tackle on Suarez, Evra confronting Suarez in the tunnel and his post-match celebrations will be reported on in equal measure. And as Villas-Boas mentioned last week, the interviewers are so laughably hypocritical and biased that's it's almost unbelievable.
Either way, the whole handshake thing should be abolished. Especially as it now seems to be compulsory. At the very least it should have been done away with for today's game.
I'm now convinced Suarez is off in the summer, as well. Madrid would be my bet.

I think they were both quite reluctant to go through with anything. Evra's grabbing afterwards is no indication that he wanted a handshake - with Suarez past him, it was the chance to gain some moral high ground and warp peoples' minds. Pretty sly, but that's what dickheads do. But yeah, it's all theatre for Sky. Has been ever since the Terry/Bridge thing. If you don't like someone, why should you have to shake their hand? The fuss when Wenger doesn't bother with some prat like Mark Hughes is laughable. More pointless moralising from everyone. Evra or Suarez had every right to ignore one another without any of this.

Yep, they're both as childish as each other.
I forgot to mention the media's lapping up of Ferguson. Most of his comments are way out of line anyway but to suggest who should and should not play for Liverpool based on a handshake, when he has not only stood up for but championed players who have deliberately ended a player's career, karate-kicked a spectator, missed drug tests, had extra marital affairs and more besides beggars belief.
And how about the time when Carroll, Keane, Scholes and Rooney all refused to shake Vieira's hand? I assume he sacked them all...
But he knows he will get away with it with today's media and that he and his team will always come up smelling of roses.

Evra wasn't enthusiastic about shaking hands, but you can't blame him given he's having to shake hands with someone who racially abused him. Anyway, if anyone could be excused not shaking hands it would be Evra. He was after-all the victim in this whole case, not Suarez. I've seen the clip again, and Evra does look like he's extended his hand and Suarez deliberately ignores it. With Rio you can see him actively looking to shake his hand, but Ferdinand ignores it, but with Evra he simply moves onto the next guy in line (De Gea)

I'm not a fan of Evra, but he's done nothing wrong throughout this episode IMO.
