Thought I'd have a wander at lunchtime and found myself caught up in gangland. About 30 young guys (half of them running away) bunched around a young girl, bleeding from the head and the chest, clearly bottled and apparently pregnant. Started patching her up - fortunately was right outside the fire station and the police station so was very quickly joined by firemen and police but it really shook me up.

Felt like it at that moment - My surgery is actually smack in the middle of the firestation and the police station and I like working around here but my adrenaline rush is making me feel sick - I saw a bunch of guys running away and a figure on the ground surrounded by more and shouting and I just ran through them to get to her.
