Started going through my music collection at the weekend thinking about what songs I should ask for at the wedding disco.
Little help?
Serious suggestions welcome.
Idiotic/'hilarious' suggestions expected <_<
Depends what 'Your song' for the first dance is, that'll set the tone
We're all secretly waiting for Chrissie to suggest "It Should Have Been Me" though :good:

What sort of theme are you after?
I could give you a load of cheesey ones suitable for the ultimate wedding disco (being a Disco DJ myself  ), but if you're after something more up-market, say what you're thinking of, and I'll pull some out of the bag

No Y M C f***ing A! I'd like it to be what (I regard as) good music. Not too cliche'd or cheesy. But something which'll get people up and dancing and having a good time too. So as much as I like some of Coldplay's stuff, for example, it's not the sort of thing you'd play at a disco.

At my wedding the live music was so awesome and everyone was enjoying it so much that the DJ didn't get to start until much later than we had planned and he only ended up playing a dozen songs or so. Easiest money he ever made. Moral of the story - have some amazing live music, it's much more fun and who cares what the DJ plays. Also, just let people request.
Edit: The only stipulation I did make was no fucking Bon Jovi.

Live music is pretty good, if you get the right band but I don't know of one and I guess that would be pretty pricey.
We do have some kid coming to do some live music but that'll be more during the afternoon.

They would have been pretty expensive when they were good, probably as much as one hundred pounds.
