Has Obama actually done something as president?

Years after being elected, he does it

In my opinion, he has been very good. He has his work cut just coz the Republicans cant stand the sight of him getting anything half decent accomplished. This ruling is a huge victory for him.

It's like he is trying to turn the US into a civilised country.

It cost too much. People should be given to opt out from health care system (or at least given a choice of different option). The idea of running world empire and welfare country is a disaster for US economy and US dollar.
It would be a matter of time until US debt reach $20 trillion mark.. :coffee:

I do not think that the whole bill is perfect. What the bill has in place is the right intention.. everyone should have health care- Whether it is through taxes or some other way, the premise healthcare should be affordable for most is a big step in the right direction. It'll go a long way to reducing the no. of bankruptcies filed due to the costs of health care.

Money talking between Obama camp and lobbyist. Now they know the tax payer money can be use to pay for drugs and medical care, the cost will just sky rocket. :coffee:

Its a bit dumb. Everyone will use health care during there life time. The people who dont get "insured" file for bankruptcy (which costs the federal government) if they live long enough to decide that they what health care, by which time preventative measures, cheaper measures, are off the table.

What's hilarious are republicans threatening to move to Canada because they think obama has ruined the nation, even though they have exactly the same system they want to repeal.

Essentially, they've gone full retard over this.

More importantly, do you not have a laptop or a PC?

And why does your phone spell phone like "fone"?

Typical. Everyone wants something for nothing.

If you can't afford it you shouldn't get it.

yeah i dont see anything wrong with what you said there. what is the point in a 'welfare state' if people have no access to basic rights? what we now call the western countries are renowned for their basic institutional rights. this predominantly includes healthcare, education and security (what i like to refer as shelter and policing) in order to promote humanitarian flourishing. if you drain society of these then you run the risk of social tensions and fragmentation between rich and poor, something america has progressively experienced over the past 50 years. whilst we will never reach a utopian society, and the suggestion that this reform will reach anywhere near that is quite frankly laughable, it is a step in the right direction to correct the accumulative failings of previous american governments.
