LDG lays down an early marker with a hugely impressive 9. Many doubted his desire due to his ongoing battle with drink but the Winchester Wonder has made the first steps on the road to recovery.

Coming in respectively with an 8 and 7 are the young starlets Dennis Bendtner and V-Pig. Many have predicted a bright future for these 2 and they’ll be hoping to have laid the foundations for a successful campaign.

Joker leads the chasing pack with a 6, whilst Ach, Maccy, GB and Suarez is Boss closely follow with 5. Pre-season favourite Maccy will be disappointed with his tally but there are plenty of points still up for grabs.

Propping up the rear are Charlie and Letters with 4. The inexperienced Charlie was always going to find life difficult, he only managed to answer 1 correct question initially, however he salvaged his round by solving all 3 anagrams. Letters also struggled and no one saw this coming, his fans are left wondering whether their Swedish hero can still cut it at the top level.

There were some big scores this round as Joker and Maccy hauled themselves into the title race with perfect 10’s. V-Pig continued his consistent start with a 9, which was also matched by Suarez is Boss, Letters and GB. Letters will be particularly pleased after a disappointing opening round. LDG meanwhile retains his position at the top with a solid 8. With only 2 points separating 1st from 5th, this promises to be a very open title race that will go right to the wire.

This round also saw a new entry as Perry bagged himself a respectable 7, could he do the unthinkable and challenge despite having missed the first round? Dennis Bendtner will perhaps be disappointed with his 7 given his rivals scored more.

Ach has a lot to answer for with his 6 which has left him well off the pace, he failed to solve any anagrams for the second round running. Those 6 points he missed out on could have seen him joint top, instead East London’s finest now languishes near the foot of the table.

Charlie failed to send his answers in for this round, despite repeated attempts by the authorities to contact him he failed to comply. His future in the competition now remains unclear, sources close to the popular star have said he may have domestic issues relating to his cousin.

LDG continued his relentless charge towards the title with another perfect 10, with 2 rounds to go some bookies have already started paying out. Can the Winchester Wonder be stopped now? Maccy also hit top form with a 10, he’s been plagued with inconsistency and many believe he should have been competing for the title, he’ll perhaps look back with some regret.

GB hauls himself into the hunt for 3rd with a 9, his highest score to date. He has come into form at just the right time and will now be looking to finish on the podium if he can. V-Pig has given himself an outside chance of the title with his 9 but he’ll need to maintain this level of form until the end now.

A clutch of members bagged an 8 this round, with the ever consistent Suarez is Boss keeping up his strong form which has seen him in the medal hunt throughout the campaign. Perry will also be happy with his PB of 8, one wonders how different things could have been had he not missed the first round? In perhaps the most notable result of the round, Joker stumbles to an 8 and loses precious ground on LDG, just how costly could this prove to be? There is certainly no more room for error.

Ach will perhaps be relatively satisfied with a 7 because it’s his highest score so far. Rumours were circulating as to whether he’d answer 2 certain questions, there were fears it would bring the Quiz into disrepute but thankfully he was professional and did his job.

Letters mind appears to be elsewhere now as his 6 leaves him trailing the big guns, his upcoming wedding continues to make the headlines for the wrong reasons as he was spotted behaving raucously on his recent stag night. Dennis Bendtner’s campaign continues to slide with a 6, his fans are wondering where it all went wrong after a promising early start. Charlie struggles on with his 6 but he accepted his fate a long time ago and is already preparing for life at a lower level.
