Swansea vs Everton should be good.
What's the point in Stoke playing away games?

What's the point in Stoke playing away games?
True, their thuggy style will only award chavs a few freekicks and Pens,
McNamara That Ghost...

And plus, Chelsea can play football.
Also:
The letter in full
"Dear Supporter,
"The great support you gave the team here last season has seen our allocation back up to near-full levels. I want you to continue that progress today.
"But today is about much more than not blocking gangways. Today is about thinking hard about what makes United the best club in the world.
"Our rivalry with Liverpool is based on a determination to come out on top - a wish to see us crowned the best against a team that held that honour for so long.
"It cannot and should never be based on personal hatred. Just ten days ago, we heard the terrible, damning truth about the deaths of 96 fans who went to watch their team try and reach the FA Cup final and never came back.
"What happened to them should wake the conscience of everyone connected with the game.
"Our great club stands with our great neighbours Liverpool today to remember that loss and pay tribute to their campaign for justice. I know I can count on you to stand with us in the best traditions of the best fans in the game.
"Yours sincerely, Sir Alex Ferguson."
The letter Man Utd fans will be given at Anfield on Sunday when arriving in the stadium. Not sure if it will stop all of them chanting but it's good they have gone to the effort for it to stop.
However, I don't neccesarily think it will mean the "always the victims" chant won't be sung - it has been sung before in different contexts, obviously most recently about the Suarez/Evra debacle.
Shaqiri Is Boss

I hope it will pass off without incident, but I can't really see it unfortunately.
And if Suarez makes it about him then he should be flayed.

Fowler said Suarez and Evra should lead the teams out
I think they'll shake hands.
There are no doubt going to be some idiots who will say some shit.
Dont really think the "always the victims" chant is that bad tbh. Cos lets face it, Liverpool do play that card a lot

The Baggies probably thought it would never come but, after missing a host of chances, they have the lead. A cross is cleared as far as Romain Lukaku on the edge of the box and he digs the ball out from under his feet before slamming it through a crowd of players and past Alex McCarthy. It was very close to the Villa keeper but he did not see it until very late.

A bit of a kerfuffle at Stamford Bridge, where referee Michael Oliver has an angry Stoke mob to deal with after a horribly wild challenge by David Luiz, which is bad enough for a straight red but ends up earning him a yellow card. Eventually, he calms things down.

V-Pig
23-09-2012, 09:06 AM
Well he can't be punished retroactively anyway, can he? If the ref's already seen it and given it a yellow.
Don't they only punish retroactively if the ref's not seen it?
McNamara That Ghost...
23-09-2012, 09:11 AM
Ben Thatcher is the only one I can think of that was 'upgraded so yes, they'll leave it as it is in all probability. The only way it could be changed is the ref gave a yellow card for the collision but didn't see David Luiz's foot around Walters' ankle.

You can usually tell when a player has little bit extra special quality.
If he avoids becoming an utter GHEL, Sterling should become an excellent player. He doesn't run into blind alleys and look like a headless chicken like most one-dimensional English wingers. The technique seems to be there too.
Liverpool should stop crossing at every opportunity, there's no-one there who's particularly good at heading. United's attacking players have done nothing so far. They'll score from their first good chance.

It is irritating how the person who mans up after a challenge is less likely to get away with it, thus encouraging people to roll around on the floor after a tackle. Refs are idiots. Why can't they have superhuman vision? They should have little goggles which completely block everything out after an incident so they can't be influenced by player protests or theatrics. Also it should make every kit and face look the same so they can't tell which person belongs to which team until AFTER they decide to card them.

Here's a photo of the point of contact. Both players being ****s. I now want Liverpool to win again (as in I again want them to win, not win again. They haven't won yet) because Evans is still on the pitch. Either he should've been sent off, or Shelvey should've injured him. But then they could sub him. So to make it fair, it'd have to be a severe injury. Anyway, neither has happened and I'm furious. I'm so angry I can barely hold this glass of Ribena.
