we can love carl because he'll never be world class but he'll give his left bollock to be playing for arsenal and to be the very best he can. he's the epitome of what we want to see as a supporter of an english club (if you are also english). even more so than wilshere who has and probably will get involved in other silliness of the field as that is what comes with superstardom. i can't see sir jenks doing anything but everything he is told to do by the letter and being an ever present in our future sides. carl can be a solid gary neville type, a consistent 7/10, always dependable and never seeming a million miles away from who we are as fans, rather than the usual national team knobheads.

Oh dear.
As long as him and Jack are still at the club. There is hope for The Arsenal.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

Anybody see his face on the bench when Arteta missed his penalty on Saturday?
He genuinely looked gutted like a fan, this boy is one of us. Glad he's extended his contract.

Carl Jenkinson is celebrating his England call-up with a new SIX year contract.
Jenkinson, 20, put pen to paper yesterday (Sunday) on a new deal worth around £25,000-a-week and is a reward for his outstanding form this season.
Arsenal full back Jenkinson is also expected to get FIFA paperwork and clearance through today (Monday) to allow him to join up with England for Wednesday's friendly in Sweden.
Jenkinson is one of Arsenal's brightest new talents and is a sign they are trying to tie down players to new deals with Theo Walcott, Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also having negotiations.
A life-long Arsenal fan, Jenkinson began his professional career with Charlton Athletic, before having short loan spells with Welling United and Eastbourne Borough.
He made just eight league appearances for the Addicks before he was snapped up by Arsenal for around £1million in June 2011.
After initially struggling in the Gunners' first team the 20-year-old has come on leaps and bounds this season when deputising for Bacary Sagna at right back.
