Terry Wogan, Tess Daly and Fearne Cotton return to present another bumper evening of fund-raising fun, which sees a massive line-up of stars singing, dancing or acting plain daft in support of disadvantaged children across the UK.

:ilt:

The fun kicks off with the biggest boy band of the moment (and no, that doesn't mean Union J) as One Direction get the party started.

:ilt:

8pm Ann Widdecombe and Russell Grant - arguably the worst performers Strictly has ever seen - return to the ballroom for an unforgettable dance-off in a special edition of SCD.

:ilt:

8.30pm Pudsey Bear gets to dance with his new namesake - Pudsey the dog, the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2012.

:ilt:

TV presenter and former chorister Aled Jones leads 2,500 children across the UK in a live performance of Bridge Over Troubled Water

:ilt:

9pm They are back! Girls Aloud have reunited on the occasion of their 10th anniversary, and now they perform the official Children in Need single, Something New.

:ilt:

9.30pm They are medal-winners in sport - now a host of Olympic and Paralympic stars, including Tom Daley, Rebecca Adlington, Zara Phillips and Ellie Simmonds, aim to prove they are top of the pops in their own fun-filled music video.

I'll be pissed.

Which means I'll get home and pledge £50 at about 2.30am :(

BBC? Children in need? oh the ironing, I think they'll be mostly using the money raised this year to pay compensation.
