It's looking like there have been fatalities.

Unexploded secondary devices have been found.

So many people there will have been running for good causes and people they love. Then you get utter filth that do this.

Third device found apparently and there will be a controlled explosion soon.

This is essentially a charity event. What kind of scum bombs a charity event?

It's amazing that despite human intellegence, people are still ignorant and appauling enough to kill and injure innocent people.

What a bunch of turd fucks! I have a lot of college friends in Boston.. so far, it seems no one was near the radius of the explosion.

Such a sad fucking thing to do!

Apparently there is a 'person of interest' under police guard at a Boston hospital.

Also, the relatives of the Sandy Hook massacre were guests of honour nearby. Reports are that there are no casualties amongst them.

pictures like this do nothing but cause more harm. we have no idea who that person is, they could be the bomber if it is a terroist attack, they could also be a marathon surpervisor watchingn the routes, or a police guard, who knows, but ciruclating a picture like this doesnt help.

horrible events, truly shocking that people attack waht is a charity race as someone pointed out

Also hope the London one this Sunday goes safe.

it was more a general point rather then you posting it :good:

look it could be the real attacker, but i doubt it. i dont think if the attacker didnt kill himself he would show himself like that, too obvious a place and knows he would be seen so i think that photo really is just a police guard, it could even be maintence or someone just hearing a noise and checking it out.

Absolutely awful.

The difficulty these days with dealing with these type of terrorist attacks is that most of it is home grown. We saw that with 7/7 when the bombers were British citizens from Leeds. And unless you start monitoring every single Muslim citizen around the clock 24/7 which is impractical, it's difficult to stop this completely.

This is what you get for letting crazy religious wackjob into the country and then giving them citizenship. And then allowing them to stay segregated in their own communities and brought up on a hatred of the West.

Also I wish the BBC would start actually reporting on the event and developments regarding the response instead of giving constant eyewitness accounts from every Tom, Dick and Harry in the vicinity. The explosion was caught on camera, we don't need vague explanations of what some random American who probably watched it on TV like the rest of us saw.

Watching this on CNN, absolutely shocking, the last mile of an international marathon. Ball bearings, blades found in the debris!
one of the dead is an eight year old! !

They are saying it was a sophisticated attack but that is only because there werent any plastic explosive, it was quite clearing coordinated.

Just cant believe it. . .it just shows the guard of the world can never be lowered

I heard that this morning. That really got to me.

I didn't know about what had happened until i read the papers this morning, feeling physically drained as i do first thing of a morning this combined with a feeling of being emotionally drained as to the casual cruelty of it. A Marathon is a wonderful thing it celebrates pushing the limits of human endurance and so much is raised for charitable causes to have it end with such senseless carnage is bad enough on it's own, but that it claimed the life of a poor little boy there at the finish line to greet his dad who had completed the marathon....it's heart breaking and it shatters your confidence in the human race that someone tonight is revelling in the mindless destruction and the untold damage to people's lives they've caused.
