Dour, turgid, trudge of a non-contest between two enemies of entertainment. Arsenal are shit but not quite as shit as the shit around them. A shitty 0-1, joyless shitfest. Maybe a dodgy penalty or the defensive lads popping up again to rescue the incredible shite we have up front.

QPR v Arsenal (17:30 BST)
Arsenal on the march again
"Every season people cast doubt on whether Arsenal will make the top four, and every season they prove them wrong. It is going to be tight again this time but I think their chances are really good, especially with games against Wigan (at home) and Newcastle (away) after this one.
"I just have a feeling Tottenham might miss out. Chelsea seem to have picked up at the right time - they have been lifted by their run in the Europa League and I like the way they are playing at the moment.
"You saw what a good side Chelsea were in the minutes after they conceded a late penalty that wasn't against Basel - they just picked themselves up and, as a team, seemed to say 'come on let's go and win this'."
I don't know which players will still be at Loftus Road in the Championship next season but QPR owner Tony Fernandes has done well to make sure Harry Redknapp stays on as manager.
The upshot seems to be that Redknapp will not have to sell any players he doesn't want to sell - Fernandes has had a taste of the Premier League now and clearly wants more of the same. Harry has managed in the Championship before and I do think they will come straight back up, don't think there is any doubt about that.
Arsenal were feisty in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United last week and there is something different about them when they play that way.
We know they are a really good footballing team who are good to watch and have some outstanding players.
But when they were winning things regularly, they also had that steel and physical side to their team. The question Arsene Wenger must be asking is 'why can't they be like that every week?'.
Arsenal are on a really good run of form dating back to their defeat in the north London derby at the start of March and they should continue that at Loftus Road.
Prediction: 0-2

Sagna needs to take responsibility for his own crap performances. I know Theo bashing is in fashion on this board but he's got the only goal of the game and now has 20 goals this season. He's also threatened the opposition in this half and almost had a second when Green saved his shot of the post.
There have been a lot of mediocre performances in this half so it's baffling that Walcott is the only one being highlighted.

To be fair to Sagna a lot of the problem is that our midfield and attack are unable to create chances on their own hence we always end up passing the ball sideways to Sagna and expect him to produce a magical cross that no one will bother attacking. It's a flaw with how our teams have been set up to play the last few years.

That's true. Which is why having a dynamic RB there might be a masterstroke. We spend so much time in that area, without making the most of it. Sagna, even when he was reliably solid every week, was always limited going forward.

I'm not accepting that at all... the guy is lazy and offers fuck all going forward and isnt fucked about getting back when he does venture forward..he needs to make way for the corporal IMO. Sagna doesnt give two shits if we dont qualify for CL next season, but the main issue is that if he's not putting in shit crosses when he does get the ball, his work rate without it is smacks of a player that just doesnt really care.....and someone please take off Monreal and get Gibbs on, what is Wenger thinking????

Can we not have a comfortable away game? I can't remember the last time we had one. At least thus far on this occasion we still have 11 players.

I've joined this late, but the bolded part of your post just is not true.
At all.
If you're going to whinge, try being accurate.
I wasn't whinging, I was responding to a post whinging at Walcott's supposedly anonymous performance which I thought was not accurate.

I thought it couldn't get worse than the Fulham game.
I was right.
But it was depressingly close.

Wow, we stink of shit. What a horrible, horrible bunch of useless ****s we have stinking up our shirts. To do that to a game of football, it's scandalous.

Going by that comment, to someone who didn't watch the match, you'd think we had dropped points. Cheer up.

You want the points, I want the football. Those points were gained at the expense of football.

I would rather us play football. Wenger is on now making excuses about the pitch. He should be arranging refunds for the away fans, instead he's brazenly bluffing it out.

Yes, I endured it even through the most soul sapping passages of pointlessness. You would have to have the memory span of a goldfish to enjoy a travesty like that. Of course I want to see the club finishing top and winning trophies and all of that. But first and foremost I want to see football, or else what's the point?

Winning games and ultimately collecting points lets you finish top/wins you trophies. Without winning neither the former or the latter happens. Just enjoy the win mate.

Where are we going with that win? We don't play football any more. We're easy meat for any half decent club in the CL. We won't invest in the team. There's still a satisfaction from finishing above the noisy neighbours but that's about all I can think of. So I'll enjoy that. But the match? There's nothing there.
