Does the ball move quicker on clay?

It bounces higher and play is slower on clay. The margins aren't as pronounced as they used to be though.

Players that whack the ball hard traditionally like grass because it's more likely to finish a point. However clay gives those players more time to set it up and I suppose grass can be harder to balance on whereas most players can slide around on clay.
