Whenever 606 closed for the night at 10pm, that's where most went hence after hours.

After 606 died, some became permanent there. I found GW and thus has become the best forum in the world at what it does

You could say the majority has expressed overwhelming apathy and therefore the government agenda is valid, even when criminal. It's a sad state of affairs. Most consign this sort of stuff to the conspiracy theory bin despite the fact US Presidents, Kennedy and Eisenhower being key examples, have issued open warnings. It's right under people's noses and the fact they don't react is as good as endorsement. Manning is outvoted and so goes to jail.

I do think people are slowly becoming more aware, though that just may be my skewed perspective. I doubt Manning will actually serve the full 35, probably be released for good behaviour, but the trend is set. Comply or be crushed.

And yes it's pretty fucked up that someone exposing wrongdoing is punished whereas those who committed and carried out this wrongdoing walk free. What's also quite shocking is how two low-level people, and in Manning's case someone with obvious emotional issues, can get their hands on this so-called secret data in the first place.
