Going to this.
Should be a win really, would be hugely disappointing if it wasn't.
Good chance to use the squad and bring in the likes of Theo, Rosicky and Flamini. Big set of fixtures coming after this game so the players need to be kept little bit fresh.

Rosicky, Flamini, Feo and Gnabry would start IMO. This is the only game which we can afford to rest a few of our key players. :coffee:

Hull are going to get slaughtered.
And beaten at the footy too.
This is a genuine banker.
If we don't win, someone can change my name to Cripps.
3-0 (Theo, Giroud, Koscielny).
Also going, like a go'er from the pub MO frequents.

arseblog reckons we should look at resting Giroud which probably makes a bit of sense before the Christmas period as this is probably the easiest game we have in December. As we definitely need him for the next 4.
Having said that we only need to score one goal nowadays to win games. 5 clean sheets in the last 6 not bad effort.

I fear we won't be able to rest him either even though it is really unideal. Podolski is out to the new year and I'd rather play Theo up top rather than start he who shall remain nameless there.

No time to rest anyone. We can make substitutions to give various 1st teamers a breather against supposedly easier opponents.
We're trying to win the League here. To realise this, we have to ensure we beat what's in front of us on any given day.
Not taking any of these pub teams lightly.
Reckon it will be another clean sheet.
3-0.

I concur, I find the 'resting' idea a bit overdone. I can understand the theory behind it, you have 'fresher' players but it only makes it more likely to drop points now and then in turn mean you need to wring out every minute of them later on in the season.
Whilst our best players are fit and not in the red zone, use them.

He's in training so it can't be far away (Chelsea game perhaps), probably just a case of it properly repairing, given it's one of the worst hamstring injuries they've seen.

Rotating is part and parcel of the game, esp at thie time of year but i fear we'll make too many changes and lose some of our fluency against a confident Hul side.
Bringing in Theo and Rosicky for the wide positions should do it though, as long as we dont change the back 4 and keeper.
2-1.

I just don't understand exactly how much 'rest' players are supposed to have. Giroud recently had a week off playing, Özil had two weeks off, Ramsey the same.
After the Man City game, we don't play Chelsea until nine days later, whereas Chelsea will have a COC game to think about.

Question for people regarding the Tube strike - I'm coming from the west country over for a game and normally I drive to Cockfosters tube station park and get the tube down from there but with the Piccadilly line strikes would it be smart for me to go another way in???
If so anyone got any ideas?
Back to the thread hope we don't rest too many players I don't think we can afford to change 3 of the back 4 personally, Arteta should play and 2 of the original back 4. Ramsey, Giroud and Walcott should start - and I would start with 2 from Cazorla, Wilshere and Ozil. If we score early by all means rest Ozil and Giroud in the second half.

Any recent seasons, he would've been a regular in the team by now. Squad depth is a bitch. But also awesome.
Wenger says Podolski will be in full training after the Hull game, and it's possible to include him for Chelsea - so that's another obstacle for Gnabry.

Baldrick would.
As for 'resting' players, unless they are exhausted or carrying injuries then play them all, if we're interested in seeing Wenger lift that PL trophy we keep a winning team together. Then when a few goals up Giroud etc can leave early, but not before then.

Don't be stupid.
If you want to win the title you need to rotate accordingly. Fergie was the master of it.
You can't expect players to play every game. It defeats the point of having a squad. And now we finally have some squad depth, it would be stupid to run certain players into the ground.
We need these lot fresh for the christmas fixtures so I expect a few changes tonight.

Really should have killed the game off. Too much elaboration. Need to give the ball some violence.
After a good start, Rosicky has gone back to some sloppy passing and isn't offering any threat. He's had his fun - I'd take Bendtner off for Theo. But Wenger won't....worried, as we always are, of a dodgy Hull goal that could scupper - what should be - a very straight-forward win.
