Barcodes are in good form, but we really should exploit their defence if we attack like we did against West Ham. They apparently were outplayed by Stoke before they went down to nine men and if Remy is up front on his own, he might be isolated and kept in check.
Koscielny should hopefully be back to further solidify the defence, although Vermaelen has been fine. I'd hope we go for a more attacking line-up, but WUMger will probably pack the midfield in what he sees as a tough away game. And Flamini, Wilshere/Rosicky will play because he'll want to rotate. Rotation would be safer against Cardiff at home though.

I was more stating the team I want to see rather than the one I think Wenger will play. Is that not the idea :d. I wouldn't be upset if he played Flamini though.
I don't think Arteta would have covered as much ground as a few others and he looked fine fitness wise today. I can only surmise how close he is to his red zone though...

Don't think TV5 should be dropped even though I don't think he's been particuarily outstanding or demonstrated that he's better than Koscienly in the past two and a half games. I just don't think it sets a good precedent for any player to be able to stroll just back in if their replacement hasn't fared that badly. Also, I think based on his display I think Podolski has earnt a start, though if I were Wenger I'd be tempted to start Gnarby. I just have this feeling that him and Theo on each flank with their pace and directness would make an amazing combination for us.
Arteta needs a rest and I would give Ozil one as well.

The same starting XI from today will start with Wilshere in place of Ramsey.. There is no way Podolski will start or Gnabry! Although we can dream of seeing fast pacy wingers down the wings. It'll only happen if we are losing going into 70th minute.

It is a shame it won't happen but I would also like to see Walcott and gnarby on the wings with the pod through the middle. Get ball to by line and cut back for podolskis left hammerfoot.
Wilshere flam and ozzy in midfield
Same back five. TV not done anything wrong so should continue.
It will be tough and a draw not a bad result considering who they have beaten this season already.

I think a draw is a bad result. Basically I fear the moment we drop points, City will overtake and would be incredibly difficult to then surpass.
Podolski has looked really poor when he's played as the point man in the past for us. I don't think Gnabry should start but I would like to see him get far more cameos than he does.
I agree a draw would be a bad result given our results this month, we need to win but it will be tough.

Don't think a draw is a bad result really, Barcodes are a decent side this year.
At the moment a couple good results can put you top, while a couple bad ones could send you down to 5th. It's that tight so I wouldn't be overly concerned if we concede top spot but at the very least remain in touching distance.

Given our March/April run I'd be concerned, we basically need to build up a lead as come that run we'll be dropping a fair few points IMO.
I also think we dropped points against Everton and thus to make up for that we need to beat Newcastle.

Disagree, Everton played well and have taken points of many of our rivals already, so don't see why that is necessarily dropping points. Similarly with Newcastle, tricky game away where a draw is not a bad result as they already beaten United and Chelsea and given Liverpool a run for their money this season.
At home we should have beaten Everton, home games are the easier ones you want to go out and win and we were top of the league, the tougher games are the ones against the likes of Chelsea and Man City at home where you perhaps half expecting to drop points.
Let's put it another way, if we fail to beat Newcastle we'll have picked up 6 points out of 15, that would make it a dreadful December for us.

that is disrespectful to Everton really. also 6 out of 15 doesn't sound great but we only lost to man city, so in the games against our rivals we maintained our distance.

If you're counting Everton as one of our rivals we've dropped 4 points at home against them and 3 points away, I don't think that's great going seeing as home matches are the ones you're most likely to get good results in.
We've now played Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Everton at home with a return of 8 points and Man City and Man U away with a return of 0 points, so in total that's 8 points out of a possible 18 that's not great tbh. We now face all of those teams 2 at home and 4 away and in all likelyness seeing as that's harder we're likely to come out of that with less points.
On that basis and considering our position and the fact we were at home, the result against Everton was poor.

I can't be arsed, however I know where you're going with this and I think you'll probably find this was an anomaly rather than the norm. It can be done but it's highly unlikely and given our run in March/April I would suggest we won't be able to do it without beating some of the top sides.

Wilshere will be fresh and ready so i can expect him to play as well as Flamini who i feel is more suited to this kinda game given their midfield.
I dont think the manager is brave ebough to play the Pod and feo on the wings at the same time (unless we're chasing the game) so i think Rosicky or cazorla will play on the left.

How would you guys fel if we only managed to get a draw? the fact that we hadnt won for 3 games makes this a must win obviously but the Bar codes are one of the form teams over the last month or so and are at home (where they beat Chelsea and drew to Liverpool) so it wont be a forgone conclusion.

A draw really isn't a bad result. I mean I wouldn't take it if someone offered it now because I think we should win, but sometimes you just have to accept you're playing a decent side and won't always have it your own way.
I can't remember too many away wins at the Barcodes, we've drawn a lot more than we've won here that's for sure.

I wouldn't be too upset with a draw. This is a hard game to call, they have a strong side and it wont be easy to go there and beat them. Their defence isn't the greatest though so it's a question of whether our forwards take advantage or not.

Another poor performance, created nothing, looked toothless, hope Giroud goes off he's been awful, Wilshere too has been poor, as has Gibbs. Koscielny with a couple bad errors too.
A month that begun with a poor performance seems to be ending with one, not playing like a team who are top of the league.

It was a poor pass by Koscielny, but as Power-n-Glory suggests, Wilshere is not fully into the game. He was just slouching around rather than making himself available. He just looks like he's forgotten the basics of his game at times.

I think we've done OK. Newcastle have been very strong at home this year, we've contained them so far.
Some of our passing has been a bit off but overall we've been fine.

Yep, way too casual. Shame someone like Adams isn't still around - he'd soon knock that complacency out of him. Probably literally.

Wilshere is not on his toes and that last gasp moment was down to him being lazy and playing at a slower pace than the rest of the players. Just watch how the rest of the players are hustling for space and trying to make themselves available.

Once again, no player is allowed a drop in form at any time
Giroud has been up there on his own all season, getting kicked and tripped and fuck knows what else, and he's been off form for the last month. Its hardly surprising really, but that's down to wenger not adding another striker in the summer.

Watched him slouch around for a few minutes completely out of sync with the tempo of tha match. It was either going to get pinched off his toes as seen or he'd run into a Newcastle player when attempting to turn because they're pressing hard. He needs to wake up.
