Probably won't change too much ultimately and in fact may even make things easier.

Assuming we'd make Pot 2 at least the only three teams you'd want to avoid would be the La Liga champions, the Bundesliga champions and possibly the Seria A champions in pot 1 because lets face it most of the remaining leagues are quite poor.
