Being reported that his medical is today.
Seems like only a matter of time now before it's official, so only right to start a thread.

this will be a very good signing but still surprised Chelsea are agreeing to this, unless this is just a master plan of theirs to pull the plug at the last minute.

I just think that they reason he may well join us for free next season anyway and why piss off a player who has been a good club servant.

its a club with Mourinho and Terry associated with it, pissing people off just comes naturally.

Nice of someone at the club (Abramovich) to show a bit of decency for a change.

True but you don't get many players who have worked with Mourinho slagging him off, he may be a twat but in the main he is very loyal to his players.
on a basic human level, Mourinho is just a complete cunt. Anyone who thinks any good of him is also a cunt by deduction - it follows by poor taste.
Anyway, welcome Petr. You are a Chelsea cunt, win us the league and I might change my mind.

Even though Lampard and Cech are relative saints in the world of Chelsea, it is hard to be positive about someone who has spent over a decade in the company of Terry, Mourinho and other ooze-based humanoids.
If unlike Capi, his apparent professionalism can help the team improve, then it's a solid move by Wenger. If it turns out badly then Wanker should give me his £8 million to apologise.
Wenger earns £8 million.

He's an arrogant, unpleasant narcissist but it's all relative....he doesn't defraud or abuse pensioners, he doesn't mollest kids, he doesn't behead or murder people in any other gruesome fashion and say it's ok because his God and his faith give him permission to do this and whilst he is a recipient of oligarchical money it would be hard to argue that he is responsible for the wealth gap eating away at western capitalist democracy.

I think quite a few of his ex players have slagged him off actually or at least have politely alluded to his flaws, divisiveness or simply actually being a mere mortal like the rest of us. Admittedly not a whole lot more than the number who praise him because on the whole he is A) Successful and B) Retains his best players. The not so top players he gets rid of tend to garner less media interest with their weapon of choice...namely a harsh tongue executing harsh words about him.
I am sceptical about the deal and though I wouldn't go as far as saying Roman has gone over the special ones head, Mourinho is certainly mindful of the potential conflict so soon after re joining the chavs. They do have recent form though in selling Mata, but it was obvious that Mourinho didn't fancy him in a big way and thought Manure too pitiful to threaten in any case.

Here's one particularly chavish tweet.

Cech said "when i spoke to Arsene Wenger, it was a big difference" which suggest he is comparing two managers and all but confirms that Maureen is a ****
Can't wait when we get rid of the blind, stubborn, french lank of pedocoatzipping specialist in £8m-a-year failure, and start attracting true talents like the Rickie Lamberts and Charlie Adams.
The other important thing about this signing is his mentality. Cech is used to winning, not just thankful to get into the first team like Ospina and Ches. He'll lay into people who aren't pulling their weight and fuck up.
So he should be enough to secure 3rd again.

Enough to secure 3rd? We should be aiming for the title now, nothing less. We have the squad to challenge and we have money to make necessary upgrades, there is absolutely no excuse for us not challenging for the title this season. Proper title challenge too...going toe to toe until the final day.

I see Chelsea drew and Courtois got sent off. I feel a bit guilty that we have their keeper now. although it is quite funny how raging Mourinho will be especially if Cech helps us out tomorrow with a few top drawer saves.
That guilt might just keep me up all night. I feel terrible about the whole situation. Shall we loan him back?

He'll have to get used to playing behind a defence that leaves acres of space and doesn't bother closing down. He'll feel gutted about today's performance, I have no doubt about that. And he'll be up to make amends next time out, something like this won't kill his confidence. In the meantime, I hope he starts banging heads in that back four. Yes he was at fault, but look at how easy the striker got in for the first goal, and why did he even have to worry about saving the second when there should have been no danger? He can't carry all of this himself, the defence was shit and if you were watching carefully they were shit during the pre-season too. Especially the full backs. That fucking think they do where they leave the flanks completely unguarded and then rush across full pelt when the ball inevitable arrives in the space. Years of doing that shit, years of being caught out. It's not even zonal defending, it's remote defending, better late than never defending, please wait, I'll be there in just a minute defending.
Cech will have to get used to all of that, just like the keepers before him had to suffer it. Hopefully he's got a big enough voice to encourage somebody at the club to pay attention to the problems that have been plaguing us for years.

Look where our defenders are in relation to the main threat. It appalling. No wonder Cech felt he had to come for it. Bet he's never been exposed like that in chavland. If he hadn't come for it, then what?

Cech was terrible today but thats not the problem. The problem is, why cant a team filled with Ramsey, Ozil, Santi, Ox and Walcott not be able to create anything fruitful for majority of the game. The loss is not the problem... the manner of the loss is.

IIRC the commentators in the community shield were saying something similar about our defending on set pieces.
Luckily Cesc was dogshit with his set pieces that day, as they were all slow and easy to defend against, but they highlighted how it is a problem area.
I agree, that Cech is at fault for that and the second, but the system is flawed too

Oh I agree NQ, to be honest I don't know what the defence were thinking yesterday, they have been very solid throughout pre-season and pretty much for the entire 2nd half of last season. I am putting down yesterday's disaster as a "mentality" issue which in itself is extremely worrying. I geniunely believe the players, all of them..thought it was just a case of turning up yesterday.

I agree, the attitude was wrong from the start. The problem with this set of players and the manager is that even though they can talk a good game, they dont have the right mentality and approach to be champions. Losing your first game of the season against a mediocre West ham (they have added 2 really good players in Ogbona and Payet though) is simply unacceptable, and is worrying that these kind of results can occur at any given moment.

Aye, let's just hope Wenger comes down hard on them and doesn't let them work it out for themselves.
The most important thing we do now is go on a run and I mean a winning run as we are already playing catch up so to speak.
I don't think yesterday was a one-off though, this team still has a slight jekyl and hyde mentality and I don't fully trust them against anybody.

I agree. He's not blameless but it's not the clanger some are making it out to be.
I blame Ox for the 2nd as well. It's criminal to give the ball away like that on the edge of your own box.
