For all League One discussion.
Newly promoted Stevenage will begin their first ever season in League One with a home fixture against Exeter.
Another of the promoted sides, Wycombe, host relegated Scunthorpe, who finished bottom of the Championship.
League Two champions Chesterfield and Bury, who finished behind them in second, start at Tranmere and last season's beaten play-off finalists Huddersfield respectively.
Relegated Sheffield United are at Oldham, and Preston host Colchester.
It is the first time the Blades, now managed by Danny Wilson, have played in the third tier of English football since they were promoted in 1988/89, while Phil Brown's North End are back at that level for the first time since 1996.
New Brentford manager Uwe Rosler begins his managerial career in England with a home game against Yeovil.
Bournemouth, who lost in the play-off semi-finals to Huddersfield, launch their campaign at Charlton, while the other beaten play-off side Milton Keynes Dons entertain Hartlepool.
Notts County face a long trip north to Cumbria to take on Carlisle, while Gary Megson's Sheffield Wednesday begin their second season in League One at Hillsborough against Rochdale.
The division's final game of the opening weekend sees Walsall, who avoided relegation on the final day of last season, host Leyton Orient.

Notts County striker Lee Hughes, who was arrested last month on suspicion of sexual assault, has been charged, his club said on Monday.
The League One player was arrested after police were called to the team's hotel in Croydon, south London, on December 3.
The 35-year-old was taken into custody following the alleged incident involving a woman the night before his team's FA Cup fixture against Sutton United.
A statement on the club's website said: "Notts County can confirm that striker Lee Hughes has, on Monday, been charged in relation to an alleged incident in December of last year.
"The club will be making no further comment on this matter."
Hughes was released on bail after his arrest in December.
The footballer has played for Notts County since 2009 after leaving Oldham.
He had his contract at the club extended in October by another 18 months.

Strange move on the surface, but with that squad, Town should be doing better. They may not have lost much, but for a team that should be looking at automatic promotion, they haven't won much either. There is a real lack of killer instinct and they are too defensively minded in their play.
Went to the Chesterfield game and it was a snorefest that they were fortunate to win.

A FOOTBALLER was jailed for five years today for raping a teenager who was “too drunk to consent” to sex as two of his friends watched and tried to film it on a mobile phone.
Sheffield United and Wales footballer Ched Evans was found guilty of raping the then 19-year-old at a hotel following a night out in Rhyl, north Wales, last May.
His co-defendant, Port Vale defender Clayton McDonald, was found not guilty of the same charge.
There were dramatic scenes in court as the jury returned their verdicts on the two footballers.
As McDonald was cleared shouts of "Yes, yes" were heard from the public gallery and McDonald hugged Evans.
The two players banged their heads together in celebration and the judge ordered a brief adjournment.
But when the jury returned Evans' joy turned to dismay as he was found guilty of rape.
The Sheffield United forward threw the headphones he was using to follow the trial on the floor and then looked shocked.
Judge Hughes told McDonald he was free to leave the dock and after the footballer exited the court, shouts of “No, no” could be heard
Evans, of Penistone, South Yorkshire, admitted having sex with the woman but denied rape.
But the court heard his victim told police she has no memory of the incident and believes her drink may have been spiked.

MK Dons midfielder Jimmy Bullard has retired at the age of 33.
The former Wigan, Fulham, Hull and Ipswich player suffered two cruciate knee ligament injuries during his career and has decided to quit the game after seeing a specialist.
He joined the Dons in the summer on a short-term deal and featured three times for the League One club. "My old knee injury has never allowed me to get back to where I want to be as a football player," he said.
"It's always hindered me. There are a lot of games in this league and I now know my knee won't allow me to play Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday. It's not built for that now.
"I want to be out there playing but at the same time I know my knee won't allow me to play at my best and to keep my place in the team. I'm hindering myself more than I am helping myself for the future."
Bullard made his senior debut at Peterborough United in August 2001 and went on to play 312 league games for six different clubs, scoring 39 goals.
His career was severely hampered by injuries, most notably when he ruptured the cruciate ligaments in his knee twice in three years, firstly at Fulham in 2006 and then on his Hull debut in 2009.
He joined Ipswich 21 months ago, initially on loan and then permanently after having his contract terminated at Hull.
But injuries and a disciplinary breach, which saw him and team-mate Michael Chopra turn up late for training following a night out in Newcastle, hindered his spell at Portman Road and he signed for Karl Robinson's Dons in August.
"In the summer I knew I wanted to give it one last crack and show people what I could do," he added.
"But what I think with my strong head and what I could physically do are two different things. My head tells me I can do it, but my body tells me, no Jim, you can't."
