Seems to place more value in a defender if they’re able to pass the ball out. A similar mentality Pep has. This is another problem we’ll have to wrestle with this season if he persists with the idea. From the glimpses I saw of the game, Elneny didn’t look good as a CB. It doesn’t add to our midfield either so no idea why he’d persist with this but you know what Wenger is like.
