Do you butter both slices of bread or just one?
I've always buttered just one. Dunno why, it's just the way I've always done it.
Got looked at sideways last weekend by MrsL when she said she always butters both.
Which do you do?

Both. It's a proper sandwich that way. :good:

Proper <_<
Thing is, mostly when I make sandwiches I put mayo or something in which means it all sticks together without the other slice needing any butter.

Always both.
Butter is pretty unnecessary in a decent sandwich tbh.
Always on one side if used.
Firstly tegistan, your face, mother and your mother's face are pretty unnecessary in making a decent sandwich. But letters does indeed have the right idea. Buttering just one side, leaving your hands free for handshakes and high 5's is the correct ghelly ettiquette.

As i'm so careful about what I eat and in general treat my body like a temple, I only butter one side of a sandwich.
At this point I should add that i'm a big fan of the three slices of bread sandwich, in which I like to butter all three pieces. Add to that a small side order of crisps and you have the whole 'club sandwich' thing going on. Mmmmmmm club sandwiches!!!

If you butter both sides of the slices doesn't it get a bit messy?
