Ramsdale 7 - Not much he could do for either goal but prevented us from going 2-0 down in the first half
Tomoyasu 5 - So much space for Bournemouth down those flanks
Saliba 6 - Tidied up a few attacking moments but generally not great
Gabriel 6 - Same as Saliba, not aggressive enough when Bournemouth attacked
Zinchenko 2 - Utter cunt, wanted him dropped more than Xhaka. So passive for the first goal. He’s not a full back stop playing him there
Vieira 5 - Tried but ultimately performance as palid and anaemic as he looks
Partey 6 - He knew he fucked up for their second goal but drove forward with determination to atone for being a lazy shit from that corner
Odegaard 7 - Our best player from an attacking sense first half, lots of effort even if not much to show for it
Martinelli 6 - Not great considering his recent form
Saka 5 - The usual attacking guile was there just very poor end product
Trossard 6 - Looked dangerous until he came off injured
Subs
Smith Rowe 5 - Looks every inch a player who hasn’t seen regular football in well over a year
White 7 - Being dropped seems to inject some life into him
Xhaka 6 - Looked marginally better than Vieira which wouldn’t be hard
Nelson 8 - Been a while since a sub has had that much impact for us, but definitely best player on the pitch today
What a fucking shambles, don’t get me wrong I’m really pleased we won but why on earth did we conspire to make it so difficult for ourselves. Bournemouth are shit, the table doesn’t lie…yet we made such a meal out of today it’s untrue.
Glad we aren’t playing for another week, because there’s so much shit to sift through its unbelievable
Yes I think we showed character to come back and win the game, but there’s no doubt in my mind if we were playing a better side. A team like one of the teams we still have to play at the Emirates like Brighton or Palace we would have been completely and utterly fucked.

Need to tighten up at the back because we’re looking very porous and that’s going to catch up with us soon enough. Absolutely shite in the final third too but I’ll give some benefit of the doubt there because Eddie was missing and Trossard went off too.
Incredible finish but it was a horrible game.

I didn't see the game today so can't comment on the performance / performances of the players. To come back from 2 down to win it like that is very satisfying and reminiscent of United under Fergie.
Despite that, IF and it's a big IF we are to go on to win the league we will need to up our performances (given it took what it did today to beat Bournemouth) because our run in is very difficult, we still have to go to the Etihad, Anfield, St James's Park, we have Chelsea at home, aswell as Fulham away next Sunday which is going to be a really difficult game IMO. Even games such as Brighton at home and Palace at home could end up being very tricky.
Still a long way to go and a lot of points to be won and lost. We definitely need to step up our performances though, as much for the fact that City are starting to look like the City we know.
Super Riessss
We were crap.
But that was special at the end

Fuckin lovely that, man. Can't win every home game 4-0 so delighted to snatch a win like that, which was very much deserved.
Ramsdale 8
Couple of real big saves when it really mattered
Ben Shite 6
The fuck was he doing up there for the goal :haha: very good finish as that was a hard one to take
Tommyasu 5
Was fine.
Anxious Gabby 7
Thought he was better than usual. Couple of great recoveries
Nervy Saliba 5
Slow and ponderous. Really dropped off from the start of the season, just like his partner.
Zinchenko 6
Does exactly what Arteta tells him to.
Partey 8
A colossus, as usual. How many times did he win the ball back and move it forward? Could've had a couple of assists, again, if not for shite attackers.
Viera 7
Very good. So nice to see another CM comfortable on the ball in there
Odegaard 7
Very good again
Saka 2
Very lucky boy. 2 sitters and no goals this week to paper over the cracks of his abysmal overall game. Needs dropped.
Martinelli 4
Similar to Saka. Been very poor lately and without the goals is left exposed in his general play.
ESR fat
Nelson 8
Everything the other 2 wingers are not. When he got the ball he looked to get to the line and get a ball in quickly. Breath of fresh air.

Last season we only gained 4 points after conceding the first goal. We’ve gained 15 so far this season.
Such a huge difference. Last year if we conceded first it almost always ended in a defeat, which was why we fucked it up in the end.
Can’t fault their ability to deal with adversity now though.

Right. At half time I was actually feeling pretty confident.
I was napping during the second half , so I missed all that drama. I don’t think I’d have been so confident had I known we’d gone 2-0 down. But while we did get out of jail today, you have to say we just kept going. So I reckon we earned our luck, overall.

Podcast is a great idea, although I'd have no time to talk about something as comparatively insignificant as Arsenal FC. I'd be too busy talking about a single missing woman and a single dead baby. Or anything else meant to distract.

Our defence has looked shaky in several games this season. It is just that we have some decent players that can dig us out of the shit. We won't always be able to save the game though.

Quite. Some frankly absurd takes in these reaction threads. We have the youngest squad in the league. If we do the unthinkable and win it, Arteta would be the youngest manager to ever win the PL. 3 of the top 4 goalscorers aged 21 and under in Europe are contracted to Arsenal. Our mentality shift compared with recent years is monumental. You would think any Arsenal fan would find a little more to be positive about.

This
These are talented young players learning on the job but now able to come through adversity
of course there are improvements needed and we were absolutely at fault for the goals and also once again guilty of overcomplicating things going forward
and while two goals came from corners, we had 17 of the fucking things, so we should have created far more chances from them - they have to stop that habit of it either being Saka hitting the first defender or him and Odegaard trying to be too clever with some stupid routine
But we also had two good pelanty shouts for handball which could easily have been given on another day tbh (and probably would if it was the other way around)
Ram - 8
Saliba - 7.5
Gabriel - 7.5 - messed up for the first goal but shit happens
Partey - 8 - was generally very good though lost his man for their second goal
White - 7.5 (can't believe someone asked why he was where he was for his goal? - that's what full backs do you idiot)
Zin - 6 - reverted to type mainly, dawdled on the ball as usual
Tomi - 4 - poor
Martinelli - 7.5 - (though he needs to be played on the wing with Trossard/ESR inside)
Saka - 6 - is getting tired IMO and needs to stop taking those shite corners and should have played in Odegaard who had a clear sight on goal in the second half
Trossard - 7 - decent and hope his injury not too serious
Xhaka - 6.5 - a good decision to bring him on when Bournemouth had slowed down to his pace and i think that should be his future until we ditch him in the summer
Odegaard - 7 - put a shift in but still not fully on his game
Vieira - 7.5 - great feet, looks lively, needs more playing time
ESR - 6 - good header to set up our first goal but struggling to find how to fit into our game and should be played centrally with Martinelli on the left
Nelson - 10 - added real drive and directness - a fantastic goal and a great assist in 20 minutes to turn the game around - tell me that's not 10/10

Why are we really critisicing things here. Sure there can be some improvements, I don’t think anyone argues there can’t be but isn’t this the most fun watching and supporting arsenal we’ve had in years, probably since 2004.
This team has really built a connection with the fans. When else have you heard the emirates rock like it has this season? There are 12 games left and we are 5 points clear with the team fighting until quite literally the last kick of every game. Just this year alone, we’ve scored 3 last minute winners which have sent us all crazy.
We’ve had great games in the past but the wins this year feel different. Perhaps it’s the fact there is genuine belief & hope of a title win rather than the theory of it as in years gone by but for now, we should enjoy every moment even if some performances are not the greatest.
There are 12 cup finals left and every win should be celebrated as such

That was the point about Ben Shite. He was, for once, in the correct position for a fullback. Which he almost never is. Failed CB and woeful fullback. Bigger waste of money than Pepe.

Oh I agree, as a supporter you cannot fault this team in terms of effort and determination, not only that but we are a quality side these days and literally will not give up until the very last second.
I said on here a few weeks back whatever happens going forward, this season has been exciting as a supporter of the club and moments like on Saturday when Nelson scored makes me fall further in love with the club and the current squad of players, the reaction to his winner tells me all I need to know about how much this group of players want this title!

You earn your luck for sure. Fergie’s United won many league titles that were built off a never say die attitude. Would have been easy to just settle for the draw and see it as a point gained after being 2 nil down but draws aren’t good enough now. Risk/reward nature of going for the win vs being hit on the counter.
It’s the hallmark of champions. I think we’ll probably fall short but their effort cannot be faulted.

Most definitely, I include Arteta and his coaching staff in this when it comes to pushing the team to the very last second, they all want it so bad. This is what makes me think we are going to be a genuine title contender going forward, standards are high now and this squad of players have a feel for what it is like to be in a title race.
I agree we definitely earned it on Saturday.

Speaking after the dramatic game Bournemouth manager Gary O'Neil admitted that he had no issue with the actions of Arsenal players and staff after the late goal.
"I’ve no comment to make on what Arsenal did," O'Neil said in his post-match press conference. "I shook hands with Mikel, it was a game he needed to win and I needed something from it too. We went to battle and he came out on top. They scored the goal, so they can celebrate however they like."
