Tagging other members in your posts

We have now added the ability to tag other users in your post. You can do this in a number of ways:

1) Use the [ MENTION ] tag
2) Use the http://www.goonersweb.co.uk/forum/dbtech/usertag/images/mention.png logo
3) Put an @ sign in front of a members name... and a semi-colon (;) afterwards...

For example, I can tag GB. and McNamara That Ghost... in this post.

Sorry - if you are using the @ sign on it's own... I've set it so you need a semi-colon (to stop confusion with email addresses).

I like how there seems to be a social networking aspect to the site in terms of groups, tagging, friends etc. Gives it an added dimension.

Yeah. Look at the Notifications at the top, next to your username.

Yes! It's a good way of drawing someone's attention to a topic etc!

Also, as Marc Overmars said... it adds a new dimension to the forum... bringing you more inline with Social Networking etc... !

I should have mentioned... it's also possible to tag (or "mention") users in thread titles as well!
