I quite liked the navigation function on top of the page on the old GW so i was thinking maybe if the navigation box which is at the bottom can also be at the top of the page to make it a lil more user friendly?

Have it at the bottom and the top and have it on the Whats New page as well

I'm sure that's possible. I've not missed 'floaty' too much but that dropdown at the top and bottom could be useful.

'twould just be good to be able to go back to new posts once you have finished reading a thread rather than having to scroll back to the top of the page.

Once you've posted, there is a "Top" button next to quick nav which will throw you straight to the top... or press home on your keyboard (when not in a text box)!
