The terrible shite we are playing in the PL is all designed to lull the European teams into a false sense of security. We're sacrificing the league this year to win the CL. Unless we get unlucky against Barca I can't see how we won't win the whole thing.

4-1 Dortmund. Lewandowski opens the account, second minute. Then around 30' Gervinho equalises thus scoring his first Arsenal gol. HT 1-1. SH: Goetze scores 51', the Lewandowski again 65' and Grosskreutz will wrap it up in the 78th minute.

If Frimpong and Song have learnt how to play together that'd be a reasonable idea in what could be a tricky game but memories of that first half against Udinese makes me think we'd be better off bring Benayoun into the middle or going 4-4-2 whilst bring in Ju or maybe shunting Theo up front and playing Gervinho-Arsh on the wings with Arts-Song holding the middle.

I thought Wenger would go for two defensive midfielders in the centre anyway, so it won't make too much difference.
It should give us more protection against a very good team and allow Arteta to be a bit more free in providing for the front three. Theo and Gervo should be perfect if we're playing more on the counter-attack.
We don't have many options off the bench though, with four CMs out.

Benyanoon was one of Liverpool's best players before he moved to Chelsea.
Remember, he only played 8 games for Chelsea because of his injury.
I'm not saying he's an amazing signing, but completely writing off a proven PL player is a bit stupid.
He's much more productive than Hleb ever was.

Yossi could play in behind RVP if Arteta and Song hold. Might work.
Yep, my only concern with that is having Yossi & Arteta in midfield might make us a little bit too "tackle shy". Saying that, I'm not overly keen on seeing Frimpong & Song together, they are both way too sloppy off & on the ball.
I have a feeling, Wenger will go for the Frimpong, Song & Arteta.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been ruled out of Tuesday's Champions League match at Borussia Dortmund after injuring his ankle in training.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed the 20-year-old Wales international limped out of training on Monday ahead of the team's flight to Germany.
It deprives Arsenal of another first-choice midfielder, with Jack Wilshere also sidelined with an ankle problem.
Ramsey was out for nine months after breaking his leg in February 2010.
He suffered fractures to the tibia and fibula of his right leg following a tackle by Stoke's Ryan Shawcross during a Premier League game at the Britannia Stadium.
However, having spent loan spells with Nottingham Forest and former club Cardiff City, he declared himself fully fit and hopeful of a positive season.

Ramsey has started all six of Arsenal's matches so far this season, including their first Premier League victory of the campaign, Saturday's 1-0 win over Swansea at Emirates Stadium.
New midfield recruits Mikel Arteta and Yossi Benayoun made their Gunners debuts at the weekend and both are included in the 18-man squad for Tuesday's match.
Alex Song and Emmanuel Frimpong provide alternative options in central midfield for Wenger.
The Gunners boss is hoping his team can build on their 1-0 win over Swansea in the Premier League on Saturday, but is expecting a tough test against the Bundesliga champions.
"I have a lot of respect for the team," said Wenger of Dortmund. "They play very fast, very offence very similar to Arsenal.

Dortmund can approach the group stage without too much pressure to succeed
Read Raphael's column
"It will be a good match. We will play offensively, they will play offensively so it will be a very attractive match.
"Dortmund have very good technical qualities, they are well organised. Although they have not started the season well, they will be confident for the match and they will give everything in the first 20 minutes.
"For us, it is important to get consistency because that is the first sign of quality for a team. Therefore, it is just adding results to results and that is what we are striving for."
Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp does not believe Wenger's touchline man is an advantage for his team, who are returning to the Champions League for the first time since March 2003.
"I am not sure whether it will be important that he is on the touchline," said Klopp.
"It would be better if maybe Robin van Persie, Theo Walcott or Gervinho wouldn't be on the pitch and play."

I don't think we should start with Frimpong tbh. We need to keep possession tonight, especially as it's an away game and we're playing a side who're very strong offensively. Frimpong's passing at the moment is not up to standard, and if we give the ball away frequently then expect Dortmund to spring us on the counter attack at will. Given the lack of options in midfield we don't have many choices, but I'd start with Benayoun as part of a midfield 3 with Arteta and Song.

Bad start. We were pressured and our passing was awful.
As the game went we were passing abit better. Benny has looked pretty decent tbh and Arteta has held the ball well when needed.
Dortmund are making chances and we have to defend well, and NOT put pressure on the defence by giving the ball away. If we win today then it'll be another not so great 'arsenal' performance but a win in a gritty way.

You're demeaning yourself in an effort to appease a bunch of PC cunts. I don't know about the stuff that's been removed but if it is now an offence to type the word jew we might as well shut up shop and demand the Internet be run by Islington Borough Council or other such associated namby pamby cunts. I believe the poster was calling Benayoun a jew, is that correct or have I got it wrong? Benayoun is a jew isn't he? So could somebody explain the issue or are we going to allow by default the holier-than-though shit stains to control this place? Also, I don't know if the poster in question is really in teh States, but maybe over there it's not illegal to type jew on a computer? So let's allow for the fact some non-British might not be as PC whipped as we are over here. The Muslim jokes are ten-a-penny here, aren't they? All taken in a good spirit because no offence is intended and everyone is grown up enough to know it. So why the special protection for the word jew? Can anyone explain it without calling the jewish league for a memo?
