Why do Chelsea attract more chummy insiders in the media than any other club?
Why do Chelsea attract more chummy insiders in the media than any other club?
That's been the way for many a year - going back to the days of Charlie Cooke, Bobby Tambling*, "Osgood Is Good" chants and all that. Leeches like Simon Greenberg are that taken to the nth degree.
*The same Bobby Tambling who scored five against us - at Villa Park! - the season we went down. Kenneth Wolstenholme described him in that game as a "cheeky monkey". A bit too mild that...

Nasri and Clichy seem to have the same habits.
So much for bad Arsenal coaching.
Nasri has so much talent, yet never takes advantage of time and space to shoot. He just hangs on to the ball. The best players are also greedy and ruthless; Nasri is not.
Clichy has so much space on the left, yet has no idea what to do. He could put in ten crosses or even shoot, but does nothing.

Everton had a 2-on-2 there, but unfortunately for them one of those two was Saha. When Tony Lewis described Javed Miandad's late-career hobbles as him "staggering down the crease like an old tram", he could easily have saved it for ol' Louis.

He must have been very confident to take it early like that, in the past he has tucked away some nice finishes despite having more time to make a decision. But in those situations, under no pressure at all they really need to be put away in the most simple manner.
I was unaware of this chant before today. To paraphrase De la Rocha - "ignorance was bliss, now that's wiped the smile off my face":
When I was just a little boy, I asked my mother, what should I be? Should I be Villa? Should I be Blues? Here's what she said to me - Wash your mouth out son, don't mention the city scum, just follow the pride of Brum - be Villa Villa!
