As with all victims of grooming, I hope she gets the help she deserves.
According to reports, the security services have evidence she actively tried to recruit others to join ISIS, took a lead role in their “morality policy” and stitched people into suicide vests.
She deserves life in prison with no parole.

Calm down. Tbh, I don't know much about all this in detail, but wasn't she 15 or something when she "joined ISIS"?
Below the age of consent, below voting age.
She's not responsible enough to do those things but you think decisions she started to make at that age should condemn her for the rest of her life?

The judge in this case is correct if we go strictly by the law. She(? fugly bitch) is entitled to a trial. The outcome is a foregone conclusion, but we have laws and they should be applied equally to all (if only). Minors can still be tried and convicted for crimes and detained until the age of consent, at which time they can be imprisoned. But once she's found guilty, she should be deported again. Why should the British taxpayer have to pay to keep her locked up? And they'd probably let her out anyway because of CORONAVIRUS!!!!!! PANIC!!!!! So just get rid of her and let her go and enjoy the wonders of the Islam.

Most 15 year olds will know that stitching someone into a bomb vest (unable to take off with detonating) is wrong.
She travelled with two other girls. I believe one was killed and the other tried to escape early on when she realised her mistake. According to the reports on the security services, this was not the case and she terrorised and played a part in killing innocent people.
She showed no remorse in any interviews she gave to sky & didnt think she had done anything wrong. If you are 20 years old and dont think being part of a murderous death cult is wrong then there is much help you can give

Stupidity is things like stealing a car at a young age and agree not writing someone off for rest of their life for something like that.
However, joining a murderous death cult & according to reports from security services, being an active part in teh death of many, is not just “stupidity” its terrorism. She remained there for five years. I would imagine that if ISIS hadn’t collapsed, she would still be there. She doesnt think she did anything wrong and only seems to want to come back “home” because isis is no longer there.

Calm down people. You are falling for the polemical. Think.about it. A mass murderer living amongst the population killing a dozen or more doesn't get stripped of his her citizenship. The state wants to make an example of her. Not for her actual crimes. Some of you sound like your be happy to pick a handful of stones and throw them at her if it were being staged at Wembley stadium. She deserves a trial at least. She is still human...I think.

I think you’d still need 2:1 at least to get through the door at most places. Particularly for graduates because there’s so much competition. After you’ve got the experience then your degree doesn’t really hold much weight unless you did something very specific.
To be honest if I could go back now I wish I had learned a trade or something. My degree was very broad because I didn’t know what I wanted to do so I covered a lot avenues. I’ve got a good job and I’m relatively comfortable in life but fuck me is it boring and feels like a never ending rat race.

Depends what you mean by "better". From what I understand other phones have features which Apple phones don't, but Apple phones are just generally more intuitive - I'm theoretically "in IT" and I struggle a bit with Android phones. Most people just want something they can just pick up and use and do the basics, that's where Apple seems to win.
I wouldn't say either was better than the other. Competition is a good thing.

If something works and is comfortable for you as the user, then as far as I’m concerned that makes it “better”, so to speak. Your average person isn’t really interested in all the bells and whistles that come with technological advances, just get what is right for yourself and your needs.

I’ve found the iPhone to be easier to use as well as finding battery life much better meaning I’m replacing my phone less frequently. It is overpriced for the spec, but it becomes more economical because I’m replacing my phone less often.
After over 2.5 years use, I’m not even considering replacing my phone yet.

I have some time for them bowing to the pressure on this one.
Although now they've created a different mess because the teacher grades are unrealistically high. So now university courses are going to be oversubscribed as more people will have been given the grades they need than the university could have predicted.
So...yeah, as usual they've made a complete bollox up of it all.

The teachers marks were something like 30% up on last year which is clearly bollox. So actually the government were right to make adjustments. The main thing they got wrong seems to have been the algorithm didn’t deal well with outliers. So the really bright, hard working kid at a rough school got clobbered. And, of course, you only hear from the losers. They probably should have stuck to their guns and dealt with the exceptions in the appeal process.
Now we’ve got hugely inflated results and universities scrambling around trying to fit everyone in. The predictable omnishambles.

We are in a stupid situation where the Tories attack the SNP for screwing up results there but then ignore any attacks on them for the English results, Labour attack the Tories but then ignore anything on the Welsh Labour screw up & Northern Ireland has also backtracked.

To be fair, I don't think there was any way to get this right.
Using the teacher's estimates which means a 30% improvement on last year is pretty clearly the wrong thing to do.
But the algorithm dealt with some people unfairly. I'd suggest there is no algorithm which would have kept everyone happy, and obviously it's the losers you hear from.
As I said above they should have just stuck to their guns - maybe they should have explained beforehand that they would deal with any injustices individually afterwards. But then there would have been a massive outcry before the fact because people don't understand that there is no way of doing this perfectly. My gut feel is the algorithm got it right for a very high percentage of people.

No, until this whole exam thing is forgotten. It's just another thing on a long list. Incompetence followed by outrage followed by a lack of action, then forgotten and the whole thing resets, with our leaders claiming competence once more and the people - for some inexplicable reason - believing it. We did it this week. First time. It was nice to be doing something a bit normal, first time we'd been in a pub since all this started.
Might try and squeeze one in on Monday as it's the last day.

I've used it a fair few times, mainly to try out places we wouldn't normally eat at, like some lesser known independently run restaurants, which is supposed to be the point of the scheme.
I've seen some of the queues at the big chains and it's ridiculous. They definitely shouldn't be included in the scheme, they'll survive no matter what the global situation is.
Hopefully it isn't extended into September. As ever when you give a inch, entitled cunts take a mile. I read an article the other day about someone who couldn't be seated because the place was fully booked, so they kicked off and demanded to come back the next day (when the scheme wasn't on) and have their 50% off.

In a civilised and lawful society the government could simply open restaurants (they should never have shut them and don't have the right anyway) with zero restrictions and then issue real scientific advise about the actual threat posed by this flu. Then, so-called free people could decide for themselves. Don't fancy the minuscule risk? Then don't eat out. As if the takeaway services are "safe" anyway.
Driving along the road yesterday I guess a thousand cars, tons of metal, hurtled towards me at a closing velocity of over 100mph. At any time I could have pulled into their path and caused a head-on collision. Yet I didn't. And not one car pulled into my path. Why? Fairly fucking obvious answer to that one.
Why can't the same individual choice be applied to this covid flu? People know it's not dangerous, that's why the authorities have to bastardise the law to enforce compliance with their bullshit agendas.

Months explaining things to you morons and yer man is still posting up BBC celeb gossip. I guess you have to accept that some people are just beyond reach, floundering fools that would pull you down if you offered them a hand at sea.
Even with the simplest chain of recent posts in this thread (Xhaka excluded because he wasn't here), a hapless lobotomy case pipes up in a disturbed bray - howling derision at he knows not what because he never saw it. Then the next monkey starts slapping the side of his head in rhythmical sympathy. The standard retaliation against anything that, oh, oh V_E_R_N! - isn't on the approved schedule written 20 years in advance. Then... Here! Did you know that so-and-so was married to fuck-a-lot? Wow, Big news! Literally, I'm not making it up. So what can you do? Exactly what I did - we're done talking, fuck off. To which the monkey screams, between posting trivia, ha, ha, you're mad!
It's a bit like urging the village idiot to get out of the middle of the road. Coaxing, pleading, but eventually you lose patience and just say, die then you fucker. If that' what you want. I think Mac gets it because he shut up, went away, we disagree and he maybe can't see the point in pushing it.
But the screaming monkey? Not so much.

News is only as objective as the person and/or organisation reporting it. Headlines tend to serve as click bait and a lot of people don’t read beyond that.
The syntax of reports are often designed to influence the reader as is what is included/excluded from reports.
This is the same with the evidence, data and information derived from that data and evidence.
Only by truly researching from multiple sources and critically analysing the output of your research, which nobody has the time to do for every report, can you have complete confidence in what is real or know how you are being influenced to think.
So, what makes you so sure in your sources and in what you think?

Obviously, as you are well aware, it is not about a single article, but no surprise you pretend so. Of course you'll try to make it about a single article. And then, next time, another isolated article. Without ever recognising the pattern or acknowledging the long historical record. The fake news BBC's fake news policy can't be fully qualified in one article. But that's your point and purpose, isn't it? The word "avalanche" would be like a funny misprint in isolation. But as part of the relentless fear porn it is so much more than an error of judgement. I guess they had advance notice of the CDC's confession, so were trying to get some more of their BS out in advance. Or maybe it's just second nature to them now and they don't need to think about it.

I'm not trying to make anything about anything. I don't even know what "it" is here.
Your Pavlovian response about the BBC was prompted by me posting that article so it seems fairly reasonable to ask what your issue is with that article.
I don't expect your issue with the BBC to be because of one article but if this is an example then explain why.
"Avalanche" wasn't a typo, it was a quote. And in the article the response from the university was given. So is your issue the headline?
If so then you have a point.

Here's my Pavlovian response, you thoroughly deceitful wretch.
So are we starting to sort of, maybe, in the loosest sense - agree on what constitutes fake news? Serious question. How much bullshit can the BBC spout before people start to doubt it as a viable source of information?
Can we, in the most reasonable terms, now assume - after all that has passed - the BBC is fake news?
Serious question.
It's a question. And a qualified one too - "after all that has passed".
But it's about scoring points for you, so naturally you have changed the nature and intent of the response to suit your dishonest purpose.

Decided to go into town early and have a walk around to see what it was like.
More people than I was expecting but the shops were very quiet. Shops like Hamleys and the Lego Store which are usually heaving were empty, other shops were closed, maybe permanently. There's going to be a lot of redundancies coming in that sector, I don't think the level of activity they once had is coming back, people's attitudes to commuting into an office every day have changed - mine have.
Not necessarily a terrible thing. The economy has always changed over time. But there's a big shift coming, I reckon.

Another weird thing I noticed. No posts about the trade deal with Japan. Considering Brexit was the end of the world, before Covid became an even bigger end to the world, I thought it might be a bit of relief that at least one end of the world scenario seems to have been overblown beyond all credulity. And, you never know, if predictable miracles can happen for one world ending crisis, maybe they can happen for another?

And yet, there was no possibility of trade agreements being struck in the short term. It was going to take at least a million years. The point here being, it is actually possible for an independent (sort of) nation to negotiate independent (sort of) trade deals. And also, of course, the other point, yet another fear-mongering plank splintered to pieces.
Perhaps, given all this covid absurdity, the Leave/ Remain split can be placed into some sort of perspective and we can move on now for the benefit of everyone. Or, you know what I mean by everyone. A few will benefit, and the rest of us might avoid being fucked quite so hard - as it was with our EU "partners".
No, of course I don't believe any of this is worth a shit for average people. But I do believe that halting the agenda of globalists is the better of two outcomes.

Why don't they just go back to the magic Covid money tree and get a few more billions? Must be plenty down the back of the magic Covid money sofa too. Seems odd they can't bundle up a bit more confetti and chuck it at people that they genuinely owe and had promised to pay. If the average person tried a scam like that they've be locked up.

Not if they want to keep their money laundering business, they can't. What do you think these Caribbean islands are primarily engaged in these days? Tom Cruise films don't give the full picture.

Hmm. Had British Gas round earlier about a new boiler.
We've been here over 3 and a half years now and the boiler was old as the hills when we moved in.
They've come back with an estimate of about £4,700
They say they need to move the boiler next to the tank and the existing one the flue isn't where it should be so they'll need to sort that out.
Even so, I wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near that much. They do financing, but still :(
Anyone had anything similar done?

Sounds like there is a fair bit of labour there so it’s probably not far off the mark. Worth getting another quote or 2 though.
One of my best mates is a gas engineer and he rakes it in. There’s a shortage of certified engineers so they do price themselves accordingly, particularly the big companies.

A new boiler. Surely the least enjoyable way to spend £1000. At least throwing the money out of the window you'd see the scrabbling mass, the hate-filled faces. I have spent a cool grand on acquiring the resumption of an equitable temperature.

Called them yesterday.
They took my details and said they’d call back.
Called late morning and said they’d come round later to have a look and they’d call me when they’re on the way.
...and that’s the last I heard from them!
So thanks for that!
