So at lunch today, I did a little shop and it came to £20.78. I asked for £40 cashback at the checkout.

The mongo charged 20 cash, and then 78p to my card.

Then gave me 40 quid out the till. :doh:

I had a slight ethical dilemma recently too - my last employers kept me on the payroll and paid an extra month's wages - and chances were that, if I didn't stop it straight away, they would have just kept on paying me. Obviously I wouldn't have kept it and I would be required to pay it back too as far as I know. The decision was when to tell them - because if I had let it build up for around 6 months, I could've claimed the interest on it and given them back the exact value of overpayment. After talking to some people who know their accountant/law shit, they reckon I would probably get away with it. But decided against it and told them straight away. Kinda regret it tbh.
