Seen most of the shows in London
:heterosexual:
Billy Elliot, Matilda and Lion King are all excellent.
If you don't care what you see then the half price ticket booths are good but you take your chances.
If you want to book then going to the theatre is generally cheaper than using ticketmaster or seetickets.

Yes, it depends where you sit.
Best seats at most top shows are creeping towards £100 now. It's ridiculous.
It's generally cheaper further back and for the Lion King the stalls is better than the other levels but you don't need to be near the front so the cheaper seats would be fine. Ticketmaster have them at £63.50 but very few seats are left in the stalls (4 were left on the 27th, but they were 3 in a row and 1 on its own in the row behind and right on the side which wouldn't be ideal).
It's a bit late to be booking for Christmas now tbh unless you want to get late deals like I mentioned before, but you can't be that fussy about what you see. We saw Shrek that way and got pretty good seats about half price. It was #decent.
If you like Monty Python, Spamalot is worth a look.
Cheaper than The Arsenal

ok thanks. last question, you say the stalls are better, do you mean ground floor seats? because matey at ticketmaster suggests the royal circle (seats slightly elevated but further back) are better even though they're further away. which would you say are better for vision and hearing? being level with the stage or watching it from a slanted view, albeit further away? never been to the theatre you see, i dont want to have to take binoculars.

The stalls is the ground floor, yes. For The Lion King I'd recommend that because some of the action takes place there. Not much but it's quite nice at the start when all the 'animals' walk through. I have seen it from the royal circle too and that was fine. I wouldn't go right up into the grand circle, it's cheaper but it's miles away.

best place is lastminute.com but most big musicals over xmas in london will be 50+ so good luck.
if you can get outside london to any big touring theatres, touring west end productions go there, they are much cheaper, and its the same show as in the west end
No wonder ITV went on strike in the 70's, we thought it was for pay and conditions, but no, they were just jealous of all the shagging going on at the BBC.

Are people that interested though? There was a lot of faux outrage in the press but the reaction of pretty much everyone was "oh". There was no great public anger towards the staff at the hospital. It was a pretty amateurish thing to do to just put the caller through but no real harm was done. I'm not sure many people actually cared that much.
The nurse might well have been sacked. Arguably should have been. But she would hardly have been hunted down by an angry mob. People are interested in Royal stories, especially a Royal baby, but mostly in a "oh, that's nice" kind of way.
I don't think there's that much depth of feeling.
Snap.
It's exactly what it is - this whole fuss over an innocent issue because it sells papers. And it sells papers because people are interested in it. Those people are shit people.
I can quite honestly say, I don't follow any of this shit any more.
I don't watch any media/celeb/reality/garbagefuckin****fuckershit
I don't read newspapers/magazines/garbage
Everything stinks to high fucking heaven.
And you're right. Whilst the media are to blame in many ways, so are the dumb-assed, uneducated, fat, lazy, ignorant ****s who pay for it.
Fuck off Britain. You're a fucking joke.
End of rant.

Fair enough. I agree. I'm more going on the anticipation of the next 9 months where the papers are going to be filled with the 'journey'. But you're right, on reflection, there hasn't been much yet.
I would move now if it were that easy. And I will eventually. And I can't wait.

Was out last night and bumped into Greg Rutherfords ex who I was good mates with at school. They split up apparently because he turned into an absolute twat after the Olympics and shagged 4 girls, including TV presenter Amanda Byram.
