So, after BT had unwittingly turned off our broadband line, which took them three days to reopen, a further 3 working days for the broadband provider to hit their switch, and a further wait for our provider ofvthat provider to do their bit....BT have again switched our line off by mistake, and we have to start again.

Nearly two weeks without a broadband connection, no email and no internet....fucking joke!

It's more that bigger things are going on - reviews of resourcing which go right to the top of the BC - which make it harder to commit to me longer term at the moment.

In practise they're going to need me for the next couple of years at least anyway - the thing in Dubai is about a project which will go on at least that long. It's just maddeningly slow to get anything sorted out here.

The stress was about booking some flights - trying to combine a work trip with some holiday - had to book my flights through our internal portal and MrsL's through SkyScanner making sure we're on the same flight out but different ones home as she's going home earlier when my work things start.

All kinds of arseache with our portal and then my card got declined :doh:
