I stood outside looking shifty, he noticed me and sidled up to me.

Him: "Do you need a ticket?"
Me: "No, I've got a couple to sell".
Him: "No thanks..."

*5 minutes later*

Him: "Where are the tickets?"
(I told him)
Him: "How much do you want for them?"
Me: "I'll take face value" (£80 for the pair)
Him: "Would you take £70?"
Me: "Nope. I sold a couple on Seatwave for £100 each"
Him: "Yeah, but that was a couple of weeks back. This is on the night."

*5 minutes later*

Him: "How about £75?"
Me: "Just give me 80!"
Him: "...OK".

I'm usually rubbish at this sort of thing. It helped that I didn't really care whether they sold or not, they'd already been paid for. Had they not sold I'd just have picked up the two signed books instead. Wonder if he did. Meh.
