During my computing degree we did some stuff about how people perceive things - it was to do with how to design interfaces and that.
The way we perceive colours depends on context, so the surroundings make a difference. An optical illusion which demonstrates that is:
http://chrisglass.com/journal/images/2005/0606-optical.jpg
Where 'A' and 'B' are actually the same shade but because one is in the shadow and surrounded by darker squares and one is surrounded by much lighter ones we perceive them very differently.

Liquorice was always the last thing to be eaten. I'd even eat strawberry creams (cough medicine surprise) before resorting to liquorice. Used to be a right bummer getting those Allsorts. For some fucked up reason people used to think I liked them. I'd stuff them all in my face anyway but it wasn't as much fun as getting a box of Quality Street, for example. Mind you, those blue and pink coated ones, sugary shells and then liquorice and maybe aniseed inside. Remember those? They were okay I suppose. And Allsorts were useful at Christmas because you could offer them around while keeping all the Cadburys stuff tucked away for yourself. I remember I once swapped a box of Allsorts for one of those selection boxes with Flakes and Fudges and Curly Wurlys in. Great trade, for me at least. Spent the whole day thinking about what a massive sucker my mate was and how he was chomping his way through a shitload of liquorice. I wouldn't do it now, but as a kid you don't really give a shit about other people. Especially your mates. Mates at that age are just a gauge for comparison to make sure you got your fair share, or more in the best case scenarios. He probably deserved it anyway. Nothing at all to say he hadn't done exactly the same thing to some other poor fucker and this wasn't well deserved payback. Actually now I think about it I don't think it was even a full box. I think I'd already eaten those blue and pink ones.

iPad is a great entertainment platform but that's about all. Sure, it can be used as a planner or a work tool but offers no significant advantage over a smartphone in such cases and phones are genuinely portable.
This watch thing. What can it do that a phone can't do? Except it will have a much smaller screen. Only real use I can think of relates to wifi and gps, the thing is strapped to your wrist so as a localised comms device is might have a slight convenience advantage over a phone. A £400 advantage? Hardly.
Tie this in with Google glass and you can spot where these cocks are going. There's a subtle but powerful difference in deliberately engaging with tech as opposed to it blending into your person and being always on. Only a brain donor would want it and that's what they are likely to end up with down the line, tech for a brain. It's the wet dream of every government and corporate cocksucker. Fuck them.
I don't have a mobile phone and feel no urge to get one. Don't have a watch either and don't want one. I have no interest in what the time is or if somebody wants to contact me. Why would anyone want to be always available, or always online? Are they really that important - apart from in their own mind?
Niall_Quinn
11-03-2015, 05:49 PM
Battery life for this dumb watch is 18 hours :haha:
That gives you standard time checks, 45 mins of app use and 30 mins of music playback. :haha:
Continued app use could give as little as 3 hours meaning you'd have to charge the fucker 7 times to make it through one day :haha:
A watch that can't make it through a 24 hour period. From the people who brought you a phone that wasn't much good at making phone calls.
It beggars belief.

I have to admit i never read any of his books as they weren't really to my taste, but i had a lot of respect for the dignity in which he dealt with having Alzheimers. He was also a very articulate advocate for the "right to die", and like him i believe quality of life is far more important than longevity.
I can't be too sad at his passing because he wanted to go with his critical faculties still reasonably intact, however i am sad for his family and hope that he went peacefully and painlessly.
Rest in Peace Sir Terry.

But yeah. Nice work, God <_<. Make a potentially spectacular solar eclipse and then make it cloudy so we can't tell.

I thought you had taste.
In what way does he deserve it?
He is the BBCs biggest money generator. So what if he had a minor altercation with a member of the production staff. I guarantee this thing goes on behind the scenes all the time in showbiz. Its normally kept under wraps and resolved privately but the truth is the BBC have been looking for any excuse to get rid of Clarkson for years as he doesn't fit with their liberal agenda. Its a disgrace we are forced to fund this corporation.
Covering up pedophilia is okay though apparently. Strong logic.

sad to see him go but I can see they had little choice if the facts are proven. Anyone would expect their boss to be fired if they abused and assaulted them. although I don't agree with his opinions he was unusual in not being an off the shelf boring guardianista. if the beeb is genuine about wanting different people on their programmes they'll need to show it.

Depends who's on the plane.
Dropping Clarkson is so stupid you could bottle it and sell it as concentrated stupid juice. The old farts running the propaganda arm of the British establishment were always 30 years behind the times. All publicity is good publicity. Top Gear would have been bigger than ever but it's beyond a dumb bureaucracy to figure that out. Take government lies and push them 24/7, that's all this crappy corporation knows how to do. That and extort money from the public. Oh and fiddle with kids.

He's not a racist. He isn't politically correct, that's his biggest crime. Our boys kill "ragheads" overseas and then return to a parade. That's racism in its purest form from the establishment cunts sending them through to the dimwitted boots on the ground pulling the triggers. Let's get real.
