Nope. I used Skyscanner and Momondo. Some of the travel agents they threw up sounded dodgey. They probably aren't but I'm not going to take a £2-£4k chance unless I'm really sure of legitimacy.
I had time to kill, so I checked flights to Melbourne from London and Paris (Paris to avoid APD). There were savings. I then tried Dublin and couldn't believe it. By flying the extra leg to Dublin (separate booking) from Heathrow and back again then on to Melbourne and back on the exact same planes on the London to Melbourne legs the price went from £4,424 from London to Euro2,609 which works out at £2,054.
I got the guideline prices from Skyscanner and Momondo and then played around on the BA site and booked it with them direct. I also joined their Executive Club and when I combine the points earned from that trip with an earlier trip to Calgary, I earn enough to do the LHR to DUB legs for free.

Christianity, already provided, is probably the best example. But mainstream opinions on politics, economics, consumerism, sustainability, these fly directly in the face of logic and reason and, most importantly, easily obtainable evidence and are impervious to whatever it is that's sitting right under most peoples noses. Logic and reason have never stood much of a chance against repetitive lies from authority figures. The only reason Zim can't convince you of his argument is because you don't perceive him as having authority. If he had it you'd buy it, same as most people.

Well, no. He isn't making an argument.
The one constant is his hatred of Arsenal, in particular the manager.
Everything else, ever opinion he has is warped around that one constant.
We dominate a game but fail to win: we're useless, our strikers are awful - Wenger out!
We are under the cosh and scrape a draw: we're useless, they hammered us - Wenger out!
...and so on.
And actually yes, some religious people do have the same zeal and single mindedness. It's a bit weird in someone when talking about a club he claims to support though.

And actually yes, some religious people do have the same zeal and single mindedness. It's a bit weird in someone when talking about a club he claims to support though.
I was more talking about the logic and reason put down you used. It wasn't a valid put down as far as I can see.
As for Zim, clearly he hates the manager and I get that. I don't like him much myself, not after I finally caught up. I think anger and resentment can be bigger if somebody you previously respected lets you down. I believe this is where the vitriol comes from. With Maureen you just say yeah, he's a cunt, everyone can see he's a cunt, move on. But with Wenger, who trades on integrity and a love of the game and the club, the cut goes deep when you figure he's faking it.
Zim doesn't hate Arsenal. He might hate what they are becoming - same here. I suspect he's the same as myself and many other fans (a growing number every day). He's deeply frustrated about what the club *could* be, compared to what it actually is. For example, how many years can you go knowing just a couple of decent signings will fill out pieces that have been missing for and age and then watch the manager bank the cash? Eventually you blow up in anger. And that's just one of the many problems.
You can support the club while hating the manager and hating the board. It's possible. In this respect the loud cries against the manager and the board can be seen as vehement support. The argument is, if you get these people out then the club your support benefits. The fans all want success for the club, they disagree on how that can be achieved though. Any fan must have a degree of doubt about whether our board and manager want the same, if they even define success the same way. Even the most hardcore Wenger cheerleader must have a little nag at the back of his mind? Millions in the bank, Kroenke pulling out cash and putting nothing in, 10 years of failing to compete for a title and being blown away in the CL, the board talking about Wenger staying until 2019. It's raises the suspicion, at least, this board and manager don't want what we want, that they aren't part of what we would call Arsenal, that they are something different and acting for their benefit rather than the benefit of the club.
You see, that's using logic and a rational argument that I don't really disagree with. Notice how you say that without saying we've had nothing but good luck against Barça in the past.

Yes, it's perfectly possible to form a coherent, logical argument - even if it's one I disagree with - without either calling Wenger a c*** or endless goalpost shifting and nonsense. I honestly feel like Zim is so bitter and twisted he wants us to fail so he can say he's 'right'.

There was someone stopping me walking up the escalator the other day because he was selfishly helping someone with a big case.
This is one of the rare occasions when it is permissible to talk to strangers so I told him to get a move on in no uncertain terms <_<

Ah this has turned into one of those gateways into real world existence
I generally don't regard people on here as real people, with real feelings, hopes and dreams etc
Ever so slightly solipsistic but I do it to people I work with as well, I have no evidence to suggest that everyone else isn't just a product of a fertile imagination
At the risk of exposing myself as an actual human being, I had similar issues with my late mother who was hospitalised for a blood condition/blood infection....it was a long and winding road of over two years to her demise. I hope in your sisters case they know what they are doing and don't just pump her full of antibiotics in the hope that one of them will take.

Well, it seems like that's exactly what they're doing. She's had two allergic reactions to antibiotics they've put through a drip and where one antibiotic has been going through the drip slowly, she's been screaming in pain. She had to have a camera down her nose because they think she has tonsillitis with a blood infection and glandular fever. Not to mention the last year she's been in and out of hospital and they think they might have fibromyalgia or something, idk. She's not even 30 yet and it's scary especially as she's my best friend even though we don't live near each other.
