Godfather trilogy
Resident evil afterlife
Shutter Island
The Hurricane
Scott Pilgrim etc
I watched Orphan the other night.
Some interesting themes wrapped up in a familiarly generic package.
The Karate Kid remake.
Really enjoyed it.
Jaden Smith is awesome.

The hunt is on for an actor to play dead terror chief Osama bin Laden.
Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow has been given the go-ahead to make a film about the killing of the al-Qaeda leader.
She and screenwriting partner Mark Boal were already working on a movie about the US Navy Seals.
It will now be re-worked to add the 40-minute fire fight involving the elite troops at the Pakistan compound.
Due to be released next year, the film’s working title is Killing Bin Laden.
Amy Pascal, of Columbia’s parent company Sony, which bought the rights, said: “Kathryn and Mark have an outstanding perspective on the team hunting the world’s most wanted man.”
Bigelow and Boal made the hard-hitting Iraq movie The Hurt Locker, which won five Academy Awards in 2010, beating Avatar to the Best Film Oscar.

Hopefully they do a better job then they did with The Hurt Locker.
lol i can see the extremists up in arms about that one!
That guy who played Mohinder's dad in Heroes and was also in The Mummy is a must for Bin Laden.
Or Dev from Coronation Street.
I just watched Slaughterhouse-5. Not really the sort of film you can easily explain or get people to care about unless they're already familiar with it, or the book. I first read it about a decade ago, and only just came across the film.
Author Kurt Vonnegut said of the film version that "I drool and cackle every time I watch that film, because it is so harmonious with what I felt when I wrote the book."
Worth a watch, for sure.
@Kaiser; Green Zone was indeed much better than The Hurt Locker.
I think this is because The Hurt Locker was mainly focused on following the soldiers, more specifically soldiers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, on their day to day lives which is pretty boring tbh and probably why I felt their was no plot (at the end I was thinking oh is that it?) because there was no real plot it was just following the soldiers as they did what they do.
Whereas Green Zone is more about the political aspect and the reasons why we went to war with one rogue soldier determined to get to the bottom of the bullshit. This makes for a much more interesting story, primarily because it actually has a plot.
So yeah good film 8/10.
OMGOMGOMG!

Just watched Scott Pilgrim vs The World
What a piss poor film.
Expected better from Cera
4/10
Shutter Island
Leo has become a great actor. Well he was a good child actor but then a couple of shockers (Romeo and Juliet and Titanic) and his career went in to freefall but has been in some great films the last few years
8/10
Starship Troopers 3 and Star Trek tonight
Shutter Island was good but I thought it was a bit too elaborate.

From the makers of 300 unsurprisingly.
Looks good

Will definately be watching this.
Starship Troopers 3
Decent eye candy, good to see the main actor back as well. Not as good as the first, much better than the 2nd. 6/10
Star Trek
Never was a Star Trek fan but this is a decent film. 7/10
Tonight, i start the 7 Star War films
Thought Shutter Island was great myself. I can see where you're coming from, MO. Was there much need for the re-enactment of the Dachau Massacre??
Phantom Of The Menace - 6/10
Attack Of The Clones - 7/10
Revenge Of The Sith - 8/10
Got better as it went along but not a patch on the originals which il start tonight
Took myself to watch 'Attack the block' at the weekend - loved it. My favourite line; 'Smells like a shit did a shit.'
Completely disagree with that TWB and MS - Empire strikes back was far superior to any of the later stuff I reckon
I still haven't seen a Star Wars movie. Need to get round to it at some point. Don't they go in a weird order or something?
Yeah the last 3 were written as prequels
Thought phantom menace was the worst
Watched Pirates last night. Depp is so cool. I wanna be him.....well, Jack Sparrow anyway.
Next on my list though might go watch attack the block again
If you watch them in terms of when they were made then its films 4,5,6 then 1,2,3
If you want to watch in story line order then start off with Phantom Menace and end with Return Of The Jedi
Mrs H, i agree about Empire Strikes Back. Best of the lot. Watched that last night
I was saying all the new ones were poor!
The original three were enjoyable.
And Pirates 4 is as awful as the second and third films. Perplexing that a $250 million budget can be wasted on such an unfocused, uninteresting, noisy, pointless mess. Shame on Johnny Depp for keeping this rubbish going.
Hope his next Burton project makes up for his recent run of average films (Sweeney Todd aside).
I forgot about Elektra tbh.
That was pretty bad.
FF1 and 2 are as good as it gets in terms of films
