We’re by far the biggest club to have never won the CL and it does pain me that our European record overall is shoddy. No idea why we’ve never cracked it or even looked like cracking it bar the 2006 run to the final. We’ve had a team that should have been capable of winning the CL and in recent times I felt our Europa League campaigns could have delivered more than they did. Things just seem to happen in Europe for other clubs but for us it’s all a bit tame.
2004 was the year. Really should have won it then.
