I thought France’s performance last night was disgraceful. I imagine that many Les Bleus fans want Deschamps gone as readily as we want Southgate gone. To be defensively strong is one thing, and Kounde and Saliba especially are excellent but the complete lack of ambition to get forward despite their attacking talent is shameful
Portugal? Well it clearly seems that Martinez lacks the balls to not pander to the whims of Ronaldo, every game for them he’s a passenger yet he stays on the pitch and harms their chances when you could have players like Gonçalo Guedes instead.
And having a decent squad of depth means sod all when you have that preening arrogant arse taking up a space that could be given to a team player
