Intermittent Performance Issues
All - as you'll no doubt know, we're experiencing some performance issues when using the forum. I'm currently investigating an issue with the server that we use for the forum - which appears to be a bit unhappy!
Please bear with us whilst I look into this and I hope to have things back to normal shortly.

The performance issues are ongoing and investigations continue.
This issue has now been escalated to the third-party who own the server and a number of logs have been sent to their specialists for review.

Good job on handling the forum though , must be a pain to handle it all when it does spaz out.
Performance has improved and site loading times have returned to an expected level and this will continue to be monitored tomorrow.
LDG, that is a deliberate change rather than a fault... one of the issues we're experiencing is guests using an extreme amount of CPU on the server (by the looks of it, hammering the database with thousands if queries per second).Originally Posted by LDG

As such, we've limited the access for guests right down to the bear minimum.

All - performance appears to have re-stabilised and no further issues have been identified. I'm continuing to do some work in the background to identify the root cause of why this happened, so that I may try to prevent this from reoccurring.
