Up to a point, yes although it depends on how much of the, err, sport the BBC show as opposed to endless interviews with athletes talking about how they 'ran their own race' etc...

What do we reckon? Either fucked the horse or beat it like a Chipperfield monkey?
Interesting, the opening ceremony isn't in the stadium, it's along the Seine. Could be good. Or a fiasco, but using the skyline of Paris as a backdrop could be a good move.
The latter

That's it, is it? Something she did 4 years ago. I dunno, seems a bit of an overreaction to me
I think the issue with the video is that it’s not something that looks like a one off, it looks like routine treatment. Horses are pretty hardy so I doubt it would have caused it more than slight discomfort but it’s definitely reacting in a fearful way and I’m not really big on animal abuse. I think if you’re training an Animal through fear rather than establishing trust you’re a bit of a cunt.
If her contrition is sincere I don’t think this should end her career necessarily, but I think the problem is if she’d taken part in the Olympics the controversy over the video overshadows everything. Best to let some water run under a few bridges.
It's pretty damning - Dujardin doesn't look angry or like she's lost control
Instead, as HCZ says, she's whipping it in a very routine way that suggests it's something she does all the time
Her contrition won't be sincere, except in terms of her regretting for her own sake that she misses the Olympics
The video says what she really thinks about the horses she claims to love so much
I expect that gold postbox to be removed in short order, either by the post office or people taking things into their own hands
I mean, it's not great. But isn't this what they do to train horses?
You can think it's a bad thing, and I'd pretty much agree, but I suspect it's fairly common.
Had a couple of days off so ended up tuning in to some random events.
Really enjoyed watching the speed wall climbing thing yesterday. 5 seconds per.... Race? Mental.
Found myself even enjoying watching showjumping! Fucking horses jumping over fences. And it was tense af.
I also watched the surfing in the morning. Realised I'd been sitting there watching 2 people paddle in the water for 20 minutes because there were no waves. Literally 20 minutes.
Watched the kayak cross I think it is on Monday. Entertaining for the first race or two, they even do a rotation and go underwater. Then realised it was basically pot luck if you get stuck behind someone else. And if you do, you're basically fucked.
Seems to be quite a few events where GB are "close to" gold or silver, and getting silver or bronze, or missing out completely. Though frankly I've no idea if they're events we should be getting medals in, or whether we're just getting greedy now we're actually half decent.
