tbf its a good bit of business. 20m for an injury prone player. everton wont miss him at all because he's hardly played.
ross barkley is much more promising and that 20m can be invested properly. although cahill going in the same summer might be pushing it, we'll just have to see how they cope.
Allen is essential for how Rodgers likes his teams to play, without being anything particularly special.
And SWAYR yeah, for Everton that's the only way they are going to have money for players so selling someone like that is the best thing to do. Not sure if they're planning to replace Cahill at all, maybe with someone that can score goals with their feet and not just their head.
He's a decent player. Probably not £15m-worth but if he gets us playing more like how Rodgers wants to play then so be it. Having someone who is actually comfortable in possession and know how and when to pass it puts him above most other British players. And Rodgers seems to love him (a little too much actually...) so I'm willing to wait and see. A midfield of Lucas, Allen and Gerrard (if they can all stay fit) is infinitely preferable to last season.
As for the fee, I think I'm becoming desensitized to big numbers, and seeing as we've slashed the wage bill then it's all swings and roundabouts...
Rodwell completes his move. His fee starts at around £12m and can rise to around £18m apparently.
I'm starting to like him...Originally Posted by Mancini

He'll be at West Ham/Sunderland/Stoke in a few years.
Closing in on Jovetic apparently
Aguero back within a month apparently
Need to get their medical staff to ours asap
Had that happened to an Arsenal player, he'd be Wilshered for ages
Citeh have left Kolo out of their CL squad.
Hes gone
Probably to Turkey
