Well, there's leniency and then there's that. Having said that, even if helps out in the kitchen I wouldn't have thought he'd be considered anything other than a danger to society, by 2033.
What a waste of time and money this trial was, and to think he'll be free in 21 years. Pathetic. He should have just been shot on sight when he was apprehended.

21yrs is the maximum allowed by Norwegian law but he can remain locked up after that if he is still deemed to pose a threat to society. Which you'd imagine he probably will.
