Post of the Week feature

Nothing essential really, I'm just thinking out loud.

So I was just remembering how back on 606, they had a quote from a member on the homepage relating to a hot topic from that week. I was wondering if there's a way we could somehow integrate that feature here? It could give fleeting guests a taster of what is being discussed.

A by product of that would be that we'd all compete with each other to see who can make it on there and therefore increasing the quality of our posts?

For the WUM that i was on 606, i did get quite a few posts on that homepage.

Wouldnt mind that on here but who chooses which post? the mods?

Seems like a good idea, and I agree, it shouldn't be the mods doing it. That said, KK would be a good choice to be on the panel.

You could start with a "Thread of the week" given you can vote/rate a thread I presume there must be an easy way to find out the highest rated one? Obviously will only work if we don't all give 5* to our own threads but...
