If you had asked that question before the Ashes. No doubt the answer would be the world cup.

The stadiums were practically empty for the last 2 maybe 3 Tests of the Ashes. Hardly an Aussie to be seen.

Fact of the matter is, England won a Test series. yay. Teams do that every series.

When it matters, they flopped. World Cups come along every 4 years and especially after their T20 win last year, they would have wanted the big one.

A shocking winter when all is said and done for England.

Put it anyway you want it. You just had to look at the faces of those players when they landed back in England. Those faces to me didnt seem like they had a good winter.
