Awful stuff and sadly not the first time where the poor safety record and ancient aircrafts in the Eastern bloc have come into the spotlight.

An awful tragedy. The coach, Brad McCrimmon, played, Captained and coached for the Calgary Flames and was one of the heroes that brought us our only Stanley Cup. An awful loss of some kids in their prime - these included some top quality hockey players, so hopefully this will create the outcry needed in Russia to do something to improve their terrible aviation safety record.
