Very depressing if you're Scottish, much less chance of breaking free from England now

Take away the idiotic Cybernats, this is not as big an issue for Scottish voters as is claimed. They went to the SNP largely because they felt Westminster was ignoring them, but the SNP have been disastrous in Scottish governance (Education, Drug death epidemic, Policing) as well as the clear corruption it’s mired in and the Gender ideology laws and Hate crime bill that are about as popular with the people of Scotland as Edward the Longshanks

Oh and Rees-Mogg is gone, he’s being very brave/stoic call it what you will, because he seems delighted. Very warmly congratulated the winning Labour candidate

Silly man really, PG Wodehouse caricature. But as I said earlier, even though his views are in my view largely nonsense he is at least consistent about them

I think Sturgeon was a good leader although yes got some big policies wrong and without her there they dropped the ashes big time

The trouble is when they do badly independence takes a step back and if I was Scottish I'd be pretty down about that

Anyway I'm turning in, all pretty much as expected, no real excitement except Bristol Central, Corbyn and Penny Mordaunt results, at least Reform didn't do as well as expected

Although it will not be given the emphasis it deserves I think Ed Davey's probably the biggest winner

    Falling into the water

She was a clever and in some ways effective politician, but there’s only so far you can get blaming everything on Westminster. It’s a low bar but I preferred her to the grotesque Alex Salmond and the comically bad Humza Yusuf.

Scotland would not do well economically as a result of independence (and they know it) they are massively reliant on England for trade, commerce and tourism. Creating an unnecessary attenuation between our two countries is just an act of silliness. And one I think the people of Scotland would once again reject given the opportunity

I have great fondness for Scotland, and that’s why I’m glad the SNP are being put back in their box

Agree RE: Davey. The Lib Dem’s have won in places I wouldn’t have expected them to

They had a referendum and voted not to.
