btw having seen it I think our guy took out the French guy deliberately in the mountain biking the other day - I know people will say it's what you've got to do to win but it wasn't pretty and he deserved to be booed by the (admittedly French) crowd tbh

Upsetting the French is an obligation for every British person. I wouldn’t feel comfortable as an athlete in Paris unless I was being jeered by the French crowds

See I’ve never thought the word Lies is accurate with Trump. Whilst of course there’s no doubt that he does tell knowing porkies….a lot of the time he simply has no idea what the truth is and has no interest in finding out.

His niece said of him that he’s the kind of person who will gaslight himself and convince himself something which is false is actually the truth (especially if that falsehood is beneficial to him)

Yes, that's fair. You're right - lying implies he knows the truth and is deliberately misrepresenting it.
It's more likely he just hasn't bothered to find out - he's read the "she's trans" narrative, it feeds into his particular biases so he's parroting it without bother to checking if it's true, because he doesn't care if it is.
