My Saturday routine used to be wake up, watch Football Italia, then Football Focus, maybe a bit of Grandstand, play Megadrive whilst checking teletext every 10 mins, then end it by watching Final Score.

    A simple time.

Had to laugh at all the news about going digital and ceefax going. This is the BBC being the BBC. We in the west of England have been digital for a year or more, no analogue, no ceefax. No fuss. Because London is now doing what the rest of the country has done, it is suddenly an exciting big deal for the BBC.

It is the usual story. Someone farting in an office at the BBC is more newsworthy than 1 million killed in a chinese earthquake. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
