I just wish we sort out the Cesc and Nasri saga soon. If they're staying, then hopefully we get an official message confirming it, and we can get on with the pre-season when it starts. If they're leaving, hopefully we can sell them quickly, giving us more time to get in replacements who'll hopefully get a full pre-season to bed in. I would hate it if this carries on throughout the summer, because it'll ultimately be detrimental to the club and the supporters, who are sick and tired of these tedious sagas, where agents, players, newspapers keep coming out with transfer tittle-tatle, treating the fans as mugs.

Not that fussed about Gervinho to be honest, will see how he does if we sign him.

More interested in Willian who's a proper Brazilian player unlike Denilson, if Shaktar go for this deal they're fools, Denilson is rubbish.

They could make a drama film out of the Cesc saga, with a boy looking to return to his homeland from which he was stolen at gunpoint as a boy, but the evil empire Arsene of Arsenal wont let him return whence he came

I can see Justin Beiber as Cesc adn Enrique Iglasias as Pep

I think that would make a cr*p film to be honest.

Best leave that sort of thing to the likes of Scorcese, Lucas and Spielberg.

What, because players never leave under contract?

    Of course they do.

But you're saying that we'd have an exodus, "doubt anyone decent would hang around".

Which is of course rubbish. We don't have to sell. Just like we didn't have to sell Fabregas last summer, and just like we don't have to sell Fabregas right now.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.

    Why? What did I forget?

This is a speculation based on the premise that Fabregas might feel more obligation to Wenger than to the club. And, that others players might also feel that they were 'his' players rather than the Arsenal's.

This is quite apart from the fact that any new manager, more often than not, wants to bring in his own players.

Contracts are hardly non-negotiable, some players even move twice in one season. Bebe spent 5 weeks with Guimarães and didn't kick a ball before he went to Utd. And of course we all know about that dolphin-headed sausagegobbler.

Edit: Oh. Ignore that post LDG. You were disputing a possible exodus not that some might want to leave.

No one said exodus, but our best players would certainly be looking at leaving. A transfer request and a few choice words to the media and they'd be goners. At the very least you'd have very few extending contracts if we hired a nobody as coach.
