I'll be honest, I'm not overly keen on the idea... or not for this forum at least. I've had shoutbox's/chatbox's on some of my other forums which have worked, but some that have been a bit of a disaster!
In my opinion, it takes away from the purpose of the forum. If you want to reply to a post, you can do... if you want to chat to someone, there's a PM function. Don't think a chatroom is going to make any difference... and think that the forum would only suffer because of it!
I'm a bit 'meh' on this because it takes away from the forum.
I've seen other places do it for big sporting occasions, but I've never bothered myself.
I'd need someone to sell me on the benefits of this.
Is the sort of thing that they have when watching streamed matches and usually consists of

Etc etc?

I can't see a huge difference between that and the posts in a match thread where people give updates/post their thoughts on how it's going.

As we all know and agree on, the old GW board was the main reason Arsenal won f all over the last 6 years.
We have now moved to a new board and should try something new.
Maybe Wenger will try something new for Arsenal
Well, as expected the mods have closed ranks against any new ideas that may liven up the place. They are passé. Have nothing more to give to GW at all. We need more dynamic pro-active, younger mods, and a good directional leadership.
